Summary: I usually build my own computers but when my 10 year old XP box started to go on the blink I didn't have the time to research and build another one so I bought this Dell. Although the computer works well, the smartphone look and layout of the OS(Windows 8) is just horrible. If I wanted that I would have just bought a smartphone.

Blazing fast. - video card is pretty good for an "off-the-shelf" computer - 12 GB of RAM will play even the most resource demanding games - 2TB hard drive is big enough for 100s of movies, plus any pictures, and documents you have Negatives - Windows 8, Windows 8, Windows 8...
Summary: Dunno what happened to my first review on this. Mine was Windows 8. I was offered a Windows 7 program to install over Windows 8. I did my homework on installing operating systems over Windows 8. No thanks. Returned it without poblem so far. The nice 23" monitor in the picture that I thought was a Dell? No, mine was a very very nice 23" Asus monitor. Okay, duh me for assuming it was a Dell "set". I accused god of hating me.

Summary: 12:20PM 09/05/2012 First I wish to state that I gave this product only 2 stars because I do not like what I saw or what little I know about the Dell XPS 8500. I have just, today, opened the boxes that contained all of the hardware I ordered from Amazon on the sixth of August. Upon seeing the Dell XPS 8500 Desktop I was bitterly disappointed in the poor quality of what I could see; IE the Case, its' size and the way the monitor attached to the back of the computer.
