Summary: dell has award winning service...if everyhtime you call them they power sell you more warranty...don't trust dell with your money or buying a comp they make....they did NOT honor thier warranty and there was nothing I could do about it...BTW if you do buy keep that service # and service tag handy..

Summary: After setting up Windows 8, the computer froze. I restarted it and it told me to reinstall the OS. This computer does not come with recovery software. Dell sent me a USB drive with the recovery software (took 2 days - no big deal). That didn't work. So they sent me the CD/DVD for the OS (took another 2 days - no big deal). BUT...that didn't work either. They offered to send a tech out to replace the hard drive (would be another 2 days). At this point I declined.
Summary: Big, bulky, not much better than my 7 year old Acer and little extra for being nearly twice the price. Comes with Microsoft 8 which is a self serving operating system that requires me to go to programs that are on their system and seems to block efforts to use google mail and other common programs. Have found computer to be very user unfriendly. Do not like it at all.
Summary: So apparently these Dell's have a problem with their video cards. I got this one and my video card will often flicker when moving windows around, and it will also sometimes freeze up with a "Displa driver stopped responding" error in Windows 7 64bit. I have googled the problem and found several people talking about the issue, and how Dell support has been unable to fix it for them. So, I would never buy this computer again.
