Summary: This two year old computer just died on me. After looking into it, I discover that they installed a 460w power supply with a video card that according to manufacturer specs requires a minimum power supply of 500w. They are the computer experts so this strikes me as a deliberate move to scam the customer. When I buy a higher end system, I expect all components be higher end as well. I now have a complaint open with BBB.
Summary: I bought the Dell XPS 8500 and 1 week before warranty expiration my Bluetooth stopped working I called Dell and they promised to send a technician to replace the part a week ago. Then Nothing. I have been trying to call them to get the status, they keep transferring me from one department to the other saying that i contacted the wrong department Terrible experience, this is the last time i buy a Dell product
Summary: Since I bought the computer everything was outdated on it. 2 month and several phone calls with dell, the server is corrupt? No windows 8 disc came with the computer from the seller. Now since my husband bought it off amazon there is no warranty because the warranty we paid extra for is nothing to do with tech issues (who knows why we would need a warranty against there parts) Let hope the sellers takes it back. Buyer beware when buying something from amazon.
Summary: It is a great PC when it works. I had an intermittent problem with it getting stuck in a loop when powering on after hibernate. I talked to Dell support & they talked me into waiting for a drive replacement. Now the warranty is up and it died for good. It isn't the hard drive either. I took out the hard drive & video card. The fans start to spin and then everything stops for 5 seconds until it tries again, forever....
Summary: Wow look at the specs...there off the charts...it's practically a gamer machine if you are not into heavy gaming...except... freezes constantly. Open up a photograph and you get (Not Responding)...it's a photograph!?!? Always...it says (Not Responding)...if I could have half of the seven hundred I wasted at Costco for this heap of junk, I would snatch at it. My blackberry playbook is more reliable.
Summary: I've been a fan of Dell for decades, but this is the last time I'll ever purchase one. I purchased a Dell XPS 8700 from Amazon in September 2013 and the computer completely died one week after I received it. I returned it to Amazon and ordered this XPS 8500 because at the time, they were out of the 8700 and I needed it immediately. Today this computer failed completely.
Summary: I bought what I thought was a brand new machine. Ever since i have taken it out of the box, i have had all kinds of problems with it. I have reinstalled it three times. I don't know if this makes a difference but i have always had all my machines built and customized for my likeing and this was not.......lesson learned....
Summary: dell has award winning service...if everyhtime you call them they power sell you more warranty...don't trust dell with your money or buying a comp they make....they did NOT honor thier warranty and there was nothing I could do about it...BTW if you do buy keep that service # and service tag handy..
Dell false advertises. This is not a computer. It is a sound weapon device.
26 November 2013
Summary: Dell XPS 8500 Computer will turn on and work until in freezes up multiple times. A person can not use this golden brick anyways because the thing puts out a super high frequency noise that causes unbearable ear pain and ear ringing. The noise can be heard outside the house about 20 feet away with the doors closed. Now my ears ring all day and all night now because of this designed sound weapon.
