Excerpt: I recently purchased a Dell Studio XPS 7100 computer. I love it! It has Windows 7 which I have never used. My last computer had Windows XP. I'm still learning about it but so far it has some great features. It is more efficient in getting around and in documenting and saving a multitude of things. I like how, on the home screen, it has a bar at top with all your items you use on a regular basis and you can add more if you choose to. It is easy to navigate around.
Excerpt: My husband and I finally purchased a new computer after months of research for exactly what we wanted within our budget. We chose this computer because it has the quality Dell name and the price was very reasonable for what you get in a computer. I am no techie so the one thing that I absolutely loved about this computer from day one was its ease of use. I just plugged everything in to the computer and it worked - no problems and no issues. I also love all of the USB...

Excerpt: How would I describe this computer. First things it is really quiet when on for long periods of time. The graphics are good enough to run most PC games at a medium level. The fact that it has four gigs of ram really helps you work fast and never freeze up when opening multipule web pages or just pages on your PC. It can be used for playing music and running movies. I have used the CD burner on it and it was fast enough for a person who burns them from time to time...
The Dell Stupdio XPS 7100 is brilliant addition to the XPS line

Excerpt: I got this computer for the purpose of gaming. I didn't want to spend a lot, but didn't want to compromise performance as I have in the past. Simply put, this is a great machine for running games, at a great price. I selected 8GB RAM and the Radeon 5870. With both single player and online games, this machine really performs well. I run Crysis extremely well and can max out Modern Warfare 2 and retain over 100 frames per second.
Excerpt: I used to be very fearful of purchasing Dell products because of the negative reviews I have heard from not only strangers, but friends and family. A couple of years had passed and I had purchased several HP laptops. All of he laptops were intended for my profession, but unfortunately, all of them crashed within a matter of months. I loved the price, but the quality was horrible. Behold, Dell came to the rescue.
Summary: Yes, this product came with great specs but I've had a problem with the memory boards coming loose consistently. Dell runs diagnostics over the phone, new BIOS but the problem continues. Customer support is poor, they try and help but there is nothing to do but open the computer and physicall reset the memory boards to solve the problem. They will not send parts or anyone to solve the problem...
Summary: For your own sake, do not buy a Dell. While they start off well, their customer service is outsourced and is horrible. Dell products (including my XPS 7100) has an extremely loud buzzing noise that Dell refuses to even acknowledge even when they hear it over the phone. They updated BIOS and told me to clean it out (which was already done). It seems they are trying to wait out my warranty so they do not have to fix this problem.
Summary: Dell is deteriorating badly. Its quality control is increasingly bad. Customer support completely absent. The XPS is a terrible product. It has the muscle to do a lot of work, but it is poorly designed. CD door routinely freezes, and CANNOT be opened manually. There is no way to open it with software due to inept design. Programs routinely freeze. Just a total mess.
Summary: I purchased this PC from Amazon when the motherboard died on my HP (m9100t) and I needed a capable replacement fast (As a member of Amazon Prime, I got next day shipping for $3.99). I'm not a PC gamer, but I use mid range video editing, as well as the office suite and some pretty resource intensive corporate IT tools. I spec'd this exact model on Dell.com (An XPS 7100) and it was actually more expensive than what Amazon was offering, with a ship date of about 2 weeks.
Excerpt: To start off, I want to say that this is a good PC, I'm writing from it now. I'm going to run through each of the major points about the PC, before summarising my opinions. Firstly speed, this computer has the capacity to run any program I have ever needed. Any Microsoft office programs install with ease and run perfectly, when running games it can struggle with higher end graphics simulation, but on a whole it runs very quickly and well, without lag spikes or Fps...
Pros: Fast, good looking, with good support, ease of use and very high value for money .
Cons: It's not a masterpiece, but it is very functional .
