Summary: The computer worked very well out of the box but did not come with a DVD-RW drive as advertised and developed a password lock that could not be removed after two days of running fine. the vender, however, worked with me and eventually replaced the computer with an HP with similar specs and a working DVD-RW drive. the vender got 5 stars. the Dell, not so much.
Summary: If refurbished means cleaning old, obsolete parts and updating the OS, then you will get it. Very slow, including the 8 year old hard drive. Many of the parts are not compatible with todays tech, neither forward or back-compatible. If I needed props for a movie, or a computer to blow-up for a movie scene, this would be a great use. Dont expect to any more than word processing and browsing the internet.

Summary: The harddrive arrived ready to go but within a couple of hours became noisy and now sounds like it's about to fail. Having had numerous OLD drives fail over the years, this was a surprise. Oddly enough I bought this desktop for the chassis, the Win7 and 2TB drive was simply a bonus. The machine now has a new 2TB drive and runs it's new OS quietly. Whoever prepped this for resale should have tested the drive first.
Refurb DOES NOT mean reconditioned or remanufactured - hard-drive failure within 2 months

Summary: I thought this was going to be a great alternative to shelling out the money for a new PC. I had to do some minor cleaning on the inside of the case, as there was a small amount of dust on the motherboard. It booted fine, runs the programs at the expected speed of a 3 GHz/8GB RAM machine. Initially, I was pleased with this product; however, after only running it for 2 months, the hard drive has failed.
Summary: The computer is acting up a little strange. The screen is shaking up and down in an uncontrollable way and now I have to get a tech out to my office to figure out what's wrong with it. I was skeptical at first to get a refurbished computer but I went ahead any way, and I think I should have gone with my gut feeling. Anyhow I don't think I will make a similar purchase in the future.
Summary: I just received this computer. It did not have the floppy drive and the DVI port as in the pictures. Previous Q&A stated that computer was as pictured. I'm not happy. If these features are important to you then look elsewhere.
