Bad computers

  • Summary: I purchased this computer on sept. 2010, it worked perfect for about 3 years. On nov 2013 the computer just died, never came back from standby. No warning!!! Its been sitting there since that day. I'm planning to throw it to the trash but still waiting if there's any hope and I can save it. I really liked it when it worked. It shows amber light on the power button and won't do nothing. I went to a computer store and they tested.

  • Summary: Total garbage. Less than 2 years after getting it has finally gone to the pc graveyard...processor fried. While it was under warranty...motherboard replaced twice by Dell-in home warranty. The speakers went out...replaced by Dell. The daughter board shorted out...replaced by Dell.

  • Summary: This model is a lemon. Buyer Beware! I bought this in September 2011, had a 2 year warranty and it died the end of May 2014 after the warranty ran out. A potential class action lawsuit is being investigated by the lawfirm of Chimicles & Tikellis LLP. If you are interested in this lawsuit do a search on Inspiron One 2305 class action lawsuit and join other consumers who have purchased this item and have lost their hard earned money.

Slow but nice

  • Summary: The computer is slow, the monitor is nice, good color. The monitor is a little quirky sometimes on the multitouch but other than that it is nice. The computer part needs a upgrade.

  • Summary: Almost 4yrs later...I LOVE this computer. Many great features, some Im still learning, thanks to the kids. Very sturdy and easily managed by everyone in our household including my toddler. Awesome buy!

Had problems then solved them

  • Summary: I received one of these that was "broken" for free off craigslist. I took some time reading reviews I always check amazon reviews prior to forums. What I found out was: the majority of these units haven't had the bios updated. they have a4 bios and need to be updated to a8. mine would not even post, so I removed the ram, disconnected the hdd and dvd, then I cleared the cmos and removed the battery, threw in a new battery and powered it up with no ram or hdds etc.

Blue Screen of Death

  • Summary: This computer worked great until the Blue Screen of death appeared. I've only had it for 1 year 6 months and didn't extend the warranty because it is a desktop and I didn't figure anything could go wrong. I just called Dell and was told the harddrive has gone bad and that they will not cover it, to buy a new one. That will run me about 130 plus labor. So, you be the judge...

  • Summary: I bought mine back in july 2011 and after the first month I had a black screen. Support helped me get it restarted but every couple months I had a blue screen . Unplugging the power and replugging seemed to help but about I month ago the hard drive finally went. Unfortunatly I let my extented warrenty exspire and now I find I am finacialy unable to repair because the hard drive are so exspensive.
