Summary: This computer has been a lemon from the beginning. The computer would quit working right in the middle of doing work. The screen would just flash and flash, but nothing would happen. Customer service on phone had my husband take the computer apart and re-seat the RAM. This made it work pretty well -- only quit a few times over the next few weeks. Then it went out completely. Customer service came and replaced the motherboard.
Summary: The spec and price of the machine was very persuasive but when it arrived and after just switching it on once it was an easy decision to send it back. The screen is very poor in terms of brightness and colour rendition but more importantly it is so reflective. Irrespective of light source or position it was like a mirror and I could constantly see my reflection. The key board and mouse were also of a poor quality.
Summary: I purchased my Inspiron 23 in October, 2011. It worked well for the first year. Since the warranty ran out, I have had to replace the hard disk, audio cables, the mother board and now I can't get it out of sleep mode. Thank goodness I had insurance. I do have a Dell laptop that works fine so I guess I got lemon.
Summary: Purchased NEW. Had problems from the beginning. Unable to wake from sleep mode, screen would shut down when clicking OK to proceed. Had Dell Tech here 4 times. Computer was finally replaced but with a refurbished sticker on it (someone elses piece of junk). Now replacement computer is starting to do same thing. Have to pull plug to get it to start up from sleep.
Summary: This computer has been nothing but a headache since it arrived on my doorstep. If you want to use this for casual web browsing it may be okay. If you want to do any serious work or use websites that require security clearance (https:) the internet browser does not work properly on Windows 8.
Summary: Purchased from Best Buy online. Picked up on 12/20/2012 why does warranty run from 12/14/2012. Experienced a hardware problem on 01/07/2013, a video problem. Phone support was unable to correct the problem and set up on site service. 01/10/2013 Tech showed up to fix the problem, sorry wrong part, need to ship back to Dell. Received shipping box and authorization, oh wait box is to small for computer. Shipped anyway. Sorry cant fix because part is on backorder.
Summary: I bought this computer for my wife as a Christmas present. It worked properly for less than one week then the operatiing system began to crash. I had to re-load Windows 7 each time. The disk sent with the computer has none of the drivers necessary to operate any of the hardware that came installed on the computer nor does it contain the pre-loaded software products.

Summary: I have had problems with this system from the first day I bought it, and Windows 8 is the worst operating system since Vista, which may have even been better. It's a confused mess of software fighting with hardware. Every day I turn on the computer I dread it. Anything you could think of that could go wrong with a computer has gone wrong and counting. My 10-year old Windows XP desktop I brought smoothly to Windows 7 worked better than this piece of trash.
