Summary: When I recieved the computer I open it up and connected it and push the on switch and it STUCKED. For the price you would think they would put a quality on switch on it. the second problem I have is the pop-up adds on internet explorer 9. I am using the highest blocking setting and I still have popups, ugh!!!
Summary: It didn't boot when received. Also note that there is no DVD burner. I would have scavenged one from an old PC but didn't notice its absence when ordering. The return was trouble free. We got a full and prompt refund.
Summary: The bios on this machine is locked by Dell. To change it, you must go through Dell's advanced tec's which will cost you more money. I tried to run a RAID drive (2-2T drives) but could not unless I paid Dell to change the bios for me. I returned the machine because I wondered what other functions the Dell has put under lock and key to be able to charge for their service. The tec suport was foreign and stuck to the company line while not answering questions.
Summary: Dell tech reps are awful. No support what so ever. When shut down this computer, the inside orange light remains on. Dell techs had me disconnect the power cord and push the start button, holding in for 35 seconds. The orange light does go out. However, when you reconnect the power cord the light comes back on. The support techs are foreign with little knowledge of the product.
Summary: What happened to dell? It used to be a wonderfull brand... I bought this pc almost at the same time i bought two XPS L502x laptops directly from dell and what a TERRIBLE decision it was.... both laptops had the motherboards replaced 2 times due to them burning the wifi chip, this desktop blew the PSU twice before they finally decided it was the motherboard to. Well thats the good part, we had to call almost everyday fro a month for their customer service to show up....
Summary: I bought a Dell Dell Inspiron i620-1298BK Desktop after having several HP/Compaq products and finally realizing that HP only makes junk. I have no problem with the Dell hardware so far, but the Office 2010 Starter that was supposedly loaded on the computer won't install. I tried contacting Microsoft and, even after indicating that the product came with the computer, they wanted to charge me to fix something that I had already paid for.
Summary: Bought this desktop in December 2011 and it suddenly stopped working in May. Dell support said it needs a new motherboard and video card, and that they would send a technician to fix it. I'm still waiting on the technician 10 days later... This is the first and last time I'll buy a Dell product.
