Summary: this product was missing the reinstalling software and im still waiting for joysystems to respond to my email about the missing software. this is the second refurbished computer from joysystems. the first was returned because of defective software. if you try to phone this company you will wait at least an hour on hold. if you email them it will take 3 or 4 days to respond if they respond at all.
Summary: It's frustrating enough to have to replace a computer whose hard drive is crashed with replacing and restoring all one's old software and bookmarks and customization only to have to do it again 6 weeks later. Our Dell has not been heavily used and has only been in a climate controlled room in the home, no smokers. We have started getting the Windows hard drive is failing warnings and further diagnostics indicate a reallocation sector count issue.
Summary: I like the computer; it meets my needs well. However, Windows 7 professional was not installed by the refurbishing company. They supplied the disk and I had to install it --- not a task for a tech-timid user. I had to install the new operating system to have the Windows activation to work.
Summary: My 81 yr old. mom needed an updated computer, so I purchased this computer for her. It did take 10 days to get here. I was able to get it set up for her in a day and a 1/2. Installing programs that she used, like Facebook, Pandora and others. I was pleasently surprised that it had a cdr/dvd rom in it. I was expecting just a DVD rom. I was able to upgrade the IE8 to IE11. I bought this because of it being Windows 7. I got the Windows live mail set up for her.
