Summary: When I first got this computer with Windows 8, I thought I would never get used to how different it was than Windows XP. However, the Dell 30 Concierge techs spent lots of time with me to set it up and teach me how to use it. Since Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft, I had to get a replacement. Now that I've had it for almost a month, I like it a lot. Do download Windows 8.1 when you first get it.....much more user friendly than 8.
Summary: Bought this computer for my daughter for Christmas 2013. She really loved it and is great for doing her homeworks or any other tasks. Cons: Does not have an HDMI port or VGA port to connect to a television. Some XP software programs cannot be installed in this computer or the program won't properly work. Have to buy new printer, etc which are compatible with Windows 8.
Summary: I am a satisfied Toshiba customer so when I went searching to upgrade my old laptop, I found out that for the same price, I could purchase a 'desk top' model. I hesitated because I don't own a SmartPhone or Tablet - I liked the portability of a laptop BUT I was financially limited (I'm starting a business) so I sucked it up and researched my best options.
Summary: In order for a touch screen to work it needs to be at arms length. a 20" screen at 35" (my arms length) is a very big screen. I had a larger 23" Acer and found that it was too big for comfort. This machine ships w Win 8, which I dislike; but the free upgrade to Win 8.1 is a huge improvement. I've had the machine for about 3 weeks and it is 100% satisfactory. No problems of any kind !
Summary: I was amazed at how easy it is to use. The touch screen feature is amazing, the screen is clear and I love that working on this computer makes me want to stay a little longer. The speed is much better than my previous computer. I think my next purchase will be the same but in a note book form. Just wait till you see the start up menu!! It is amazing. Just think no wires to move out of you way and it is portable!
