Dell Alienware X51 (2013) Review

Digitaltrends
6 July 2012
  • Conclusion: The X51 is a beautifully engineered computer that can’t entirely overcome the fundamental challenges all small gaming PCs face. Yes, it’s easy to disassemble; but upgrading is a chore. Yes, it packs incredible hardware in a small profile; but it’s still loud.

Alienware X51 Review

Digitaltrends
3 July 2012
  • Conclusion: When rumors of a “Steam Box” hardware spec from Valve kicked up earlier this year, it was suggested that the X51 was designed with that spec in mind. Whether or not those rumors were accurate, it’s easy to see why this new Alienware offering would be connected to them.

Review: Alienware Andromeda X51

Wired
16 April 2012
  • Excerpt: It’s been quite a while since I attended my last LAN party, but I was under the impression that most gamers have moved on to laptops like these folks , if for no other reason than to quit it with all the lugging, loading, and hauling of gear.
  • Pros: Plenty of ports and power for most gaming needs. Super portable: 15 percent the size of a regular Alienware tower. Modular internal design makes replacing or upgrading parts easy. Sturdy build. Reasonably quiet.
  • Cons: Necessarily limited expansion options: 330-watt power supply and physical issues mean replacing the video card is tricky. Still more expensive than a DIY system. Power brick is the size of a man’s shoe.

1 March 2012
  • Excerpt: The X51 is a compact gaming PC from Dell's premium Alienware brand. It's about the same size as an Xbox Elite, and has a selection of clever features. The slim case is fairly understated as far as Alienware designs go, with just a glowing alien head and LED-lit clear side panels.

Dell Alienware X51 im Test: Lauter Motor mit reinrassiger Leistung

neuerdings.com
4 November 2012
