Timothy C., Newegg
19 July 2006
  • Pros: Awesome Specs. Exactly what I was looking for...

Bad MB

David K., Newegg
21 April 2006
  • Pros: None
  • Cons: The particular MB I received was faulty. The MB did not even give post beeps when the RAM and CPU were removed. NewEgg does not allow returns on this item. I'd stay away if you're in a hurry because ASUS has been giving me some poor customer service thus far.

Tiny!!!!

Robert H., Newegg
10 April 2006
  • Summary: I received a faulty motherboard on the first round also... ASUS is difficult to return to.
  • Pros: Lots of drive bays!!!!!
  • Cons: The case is so tiny, a gnome with tweezers couldn't get all of the components to fit around the wiring!!!!! Also, with only 1 Parallel ATA slot on the motherboard, the usefulness of all of those drive bays is limited...

HIGHLY RECOMMEND ! !

Ricardo R., Newegg
19 March 2006
  • Summary: Newegg is GREAT!!!!!! I really appreciate fast shipping.
  • Pros: A very nice system for the price and it is very easy to build because ASUS already has everything plugged into the mobo. I used a Intel Pentium 4 630 Prescott 800MHz FSB LGA 775 EM64T Processor Model BX80547PG3000F and it is fast!!! I highly recommend this barebones, it uses the P5GD1-VM mother b...
  • Cons: The case could be bigger, or my fingers could be smaller.......

User Review

12 December 2005
  • Summary: The entire Asus Vintage line uses the same chassis, and it's a great one. Compact, attractive, and mmmm... all those drive bays. I'm not aware of any other mATX case that has as many. I has two 5" bays, four internal 3.5", and the floppy bay, which might also hold a HDD if you were really pressed.
  • Pros: lots of drive bays in a small package. Great value, no-frills quality.
  • Cons: wiring clutter can be a problem. Power supply will probably be taxed if you fill it up with drives. Floppy drive opening is molded into the case front, can't be blanked out.
