Summary: UPDATED October 17, 2014: When I first wrote my review back in May 2014, my title used to read "Very happy with my decision!" I gave the product a 5-star rating. Here it is only six months use and the 180 Watt AC adapter (which sells for $100 if you want to replace it with another ASUS) has stopped working. It is not a simple thing to find another 180 Watt adapter, you can't find it at your local electronics store, so you can get back to work the same day.
Summary: Had to return this item. It didn't arrive for a very long time even though Amazon said it had. Was this winter so during bad weather. BUT... I couldn't get money back until I had shipped back, AND had to pay restocking fee...when it was really someone else fault it didn't come in time. Not happy.
Summary: I purchased this computer in July. By December it stopped converting to tablet mode. I had to pay $90 to ship this to them to repair it. They repaired it, but did not return the wireless dongle. I called in January. They sent me the wrong one. I have since called five times and they still have not sent me the part. They have the WORST customer service that I have ever encountered. I would never purchase or recommend ASUS.
Summary: About 6 months after purchase I was unable to switch in to android mode. We called tech support and were told it would have to be sent in for repair. We sent it in Dec 20th and it is still not fixed. We were told it would be two weeks initially, but now when we call, they just say they are working on it. I had to pay almost $50 to send it for repair. The computer was ok, but their customer service is a joke.
Summary: I just learned that i have to return this beautiful machine after only two days of enjoying it. I have a dead screen which will only work in windows mode if in the docking station and does not work in android mode at all. I tried to find a solution in the paper documentation as well as in the online manual. No dice. A phone call to tech assistance lead to no assistance whatsoever. Mail it in for service or return it to the store.
Summary: I have had numerous issues with this computer since its purchase. The first one arrived broken... not the screen, the glass area on the CPU and hard drive enclosure. It took TWO WEEKS of it sitting in my house, broken, with them having my $1300 before ASUS would grant the DOA and I could return it.
Summary: Ich kann alle positiven Bewertungen durchaus nachvollziehen. Allerdings hat das Gerät diverse technische Einschränkungen, die die praktische Nutzung mehr als nur frustrierend werden lassen. Der Hersteller hat das Gerät ausschliesslich als Single-Gerät entwickelt. Dies gipfelt darin, dass es keinen separaten Audioausgang hat. O-Ton Asus-Support: Der Betrieb an einer Soundanlage ist nicht vorgesehen !?!
Summary: Kann das sein das man nach paar Wochen moderater Nutzung sprich 3 mal die Woche paar Stunden schon n defektes Netzteil hat? Das kann nicht sein! Und mich dann auf die Asus seite verweisen... Mal schauen was passiert sonst nur 1 Stern wobei das auch zu viel ist...
