Great If You Never Need a New PSU

Cheryl M., Newegg
11 March 2007
  • Summary: Just be careful, and make sure you will NEVER need a PSU more than 275w for your graphics card.
  • Pros: Great layout, pretty easy for my first build, great size for smaller spaces, good motherboard.
  • Cons: I believe this has a 275w power supply unit. This will not run a gaming graphics card (I tried a Radeon X1600 Pro). I looked for a new PSU, but the one this case takes is NOT a standard size. 2U form factor is about half an inch too wide to fit, and of course normal ATX power supplies are out of ...

Anonymous, Newegg
2 March 2007
  • Summary: If space is an issue and you don't want to buy a Laptop then this Barebone is the one for you. Late!!
  • Pros: Small design and much quieter then the previous Asus system that I've had for over a year now. I installed the following: Intel Pentium Dou 2 1.83,1G of DDR2 800MHZ,320 SATA-2 HD and HP DVD-RW Burner.
  • Cons: None that I can see on this puppy.

Beautiful, quiet case, some considerations...

Anonymous, Newegg
20 February 2007
  • Summary: currently running Gentoo Linux with Freevo very nicely...makes an excellent home theater PC (with the addition of a video card supporting TV-out)
  • Pros: Beautiful case, very quiet, stable, and well made...a quality Asus product as always. Card slots and everything work well. Runs Linux without a fuss.
  • Cons: No TV out; built-in Intel graphics left something to be desired (as I expected before purchase); no support for the Intel Core 2 Duo processor.

WARNING !!!

Jude C., Newegg
24 January 2007
  • Summary: Better Documentation, No place inthe manual did it warn about the fan mounting only in one position.
  • Pros: Sweet Little Case for Offices!!!
  • Cons: Be careful the CPU fan is designed to go on only one way. It is notched on the bottom side for the capacitors on the motherboard. If you put it on wrong the CPU will run HOT HOT HOT... The wires on the fan should exit the fan housing toward the memory. I built 14 of these in 2 days and after the ...

Easy Build

10 January 2007
  • Summary: ASUS has the full manual on their web site.It never hurts to do a little research before you purchase your hardware and system, then you will not be dissapointed.Newegg supplies us with all the web sites. This is a narrow and small computer and things are tight fitting and it only accepts low profile...
  • Pros: Installed Pentium D 820 processor,Chaintech GSV73GS-G2 video card, Wintec Ampo 2GB memory,WD2500KS SATA hard drive and XP Media Center 2005. Everything is working just fine. I had no driver issues with the hardware and OS installation.
  • Cons: The manual that comes with the system is very very basic.Fan is loud everytime you fire it up, but it does quiet down nicely when it gets to the OS.

In response to the "Thought it Would Be Good" Review

Cheryl M., Newegg
29 December 2006
  • Summary: This is just to help the last person to post a comment, who said their video and sound cards didn't fit. This is a low-profile/small form factor case. It's thinner than standard size towers, so ONLY low profile cards are designed to fit in it.
  • Pros: N/A
  • Cons: N/A

Thought it will be good, but... :-(

Anonymous, Newegg
29 December 2006
  • Summary: So I bought everything and everything arrived! YAY :-p I opened up the box for this case, and this case seemed smaller then it looked on the pictures. Sure enough, when I open my videocard (GeForce 7300GT), it doesn't fit... Same with the soundcard. The other guy said he put in an ATi videocard.
  • Pros: *Sleek Looking Case *Gives you supplies; EVEN Rubber Washers so HDD has minimal noise! *Compact; small
  • Cons: *Not very easy to work with *Instructions not clear at all *Videocard DOESN'T FIT *Soundcard DOESN'T FIT *Included Heatsink's fan is kind-of loud for a 'ASUS Fanless Design' Mobo
