Summary: I purchased this All-in-One in 2012 from a big box retailer. My webcam quit working the first week I got it and the big box retailer was kind enough to take it back and give me a new one. Fast forward. I have had nothing but problems with this computer. The webcam keeps shutting off. For anyone with this problem, you have to enable the webcam. For one reason or another, the webcam becomes disabled.
Summary: It has two hard drives- one small (C) & one larger (D). What was not disclosed was any software would be loaded on the small drive. I have to be cautious when loading any new software & most times intentionally load them on the bigger drive. At times, I have to move a program (with updates) to the D drive.
Summary: I bought my ASUS a year ago and have lost my hard drive 3 times. I've sent it to ASUS where they wiped my hard drive clean (without asking), called them many times and filled out 3 feedback papers telling them how much I hate this computer. They have never contacted me. I've asked if I could talk with someone and the answer is "no".
Summary: The Webcam quit working in about 3 months. Technical support on the phone couldn't fix it. He asked me to send it in for repair which would take at least a few weeks, and I need to cover one way shipping.
Summary: .....but no wireless card??? The touchscreen works well, is not as picky as some of the capacitive, or annoying as the resistive screens. It's quick enough to handle Windows 8, but doesn't come with it, unfortunately. It has all the options you could want (media card readers, good sound, in/out AV jacks, HDMI ports, etc)....all in all, I was pleased. But no wireless card? That seems like a no-brainer for one of these. I bought a USB Belkin for it...but still....
Summary: Bought this for my 15 yo son and he loves it. Other rating have made comments about a bunch of "bloat ware" that Asus installs, I found nothing more than all manufacturers put on new computers and some of the Asus programs my son really likes. This is our first all-in-one computer and so far (3 weeks) I really like that it doesn't take up so much space. My son likes the touch screen, though eventually he may get tired of wiping off the finger prints.
Summary: This is my first all-in-one PC and I'm tremendously happy with my choice. I upgraded to Windows 8 as soon as it came available and it works almost flawlessly. The only issue I've had is using the touchscreen. Certain areas of the monitor are not reading finger input. That being said, the mouse works just fine. I was having trouble with a memory intensive document I was working with. I decided to upgrade the 4 GB of RAM to 8 GB.
