  • Summary: At 100% Load 24hrs a day this computer has been 100% stable. I am running a dual boot of Ubuntu 14.10 and Windows 10 Developer Preview. My primary complaint is that stock cooling is not sufficient for high-load applications. The only fans are a small CPU HSF (very loud at high load), and a small PSU fan. I recommend the Cooler Master Hyper TX3 CPU cooler to replace the stock HSF, the TX3 is one of the biggest heatsinks that will fit in this case with the side panel on.

Not a good system prone to problems

  • Summary: After a little over a year now. I am having same problem so many others seem to be having. Defective video card, fan failed and over heated. Was having other problems before, had to re format 3 times over the year. When operating it was a good system. With all the problems it is just not operating enough. Very disappointed too short of problem free run, to think about ASUS products again. Now to try and repair a broken computer after only 13 months of use.

Works well after a simple GPU fix

  • Summary: I had the same issues, and finally found a (relatively) simple fix... Problem: the GPU fan stops spinning, causing the graphics card to overheat and the computer to shut down. You can verify this by opening the case and visually checking the fan (DON'T DO THIS UNLESS YOU ARE COMFORTABLE VOIDING YOUR WARRANTY!), or installing MSI Afterburner, which will monitor your fan speed and GPU temperature.

  • Summary: you should read my advice if you are deciding to buy this. first of all when I got this item, it shipped with sloppy package. it just looks like a garbage,and as I expected it was already damaged. when I was trying to use this pc, It automatically shut down it self after 10 min and didn't get power back I dont recommand to buy this items..

More trouble then it is worth

  • Summary: I bought this PC to do some school work and at first glance it looked really good. Ran all my programs well and ran games great. But after only a few months it started giving me trouble. The computer would turn off randomly for no reason. It got so bad that I could only have it run for two mins at a time before it would shut off. When I looked into what was casing it i learned that the fan in the graphics card was dying.

  • Summary: I bought this computer June 2013. I had faith in ASUS knowing it as a company that made excellent computer parts in my youth. This was the first ASUS computer I ever bought, and will probably be the last. The computer performed well for the first few months although I did find the VGA card to be rather underpowered for what it claimed to be.

  • Summary: I bought this last April 2014 and after a year, it re-boots by itself. I chose this computer because of good reviews and cheap price. I should have read the negative reviews on this product. This is the first and last ASUS product for me. There is a reason why they sell this cheap. People, you've been warned. WORST COMPUTER EVER!

  • Summary: Regardless of the problems I'm having, I still believe ASUS to be a good product. EXCEPT for this model PC. DON'T BUY IT. Unless you are my worst enemy... Hehe I don't think ASUS is in the business of having great support, as much as they are in Looking like they do. After speaking with them (on roughly 5x occasions), it is obvious they focus their training on protocols and policy for their employees to religiously follow.

Worked for 6 months then broke

  • Summary: Worked well for, 6 months, then the video card broke. You have to pay to ship it back for repair, so cost me $64 (ship + insurance), got it back and it worked for 10 minutes. Contacted ASUS said I'd have to pay to ship it to them...again. I think not. I'm just buying another video card and installing it myself. I like the machine but the warranty service is severely lacking. Just fortunate that it was only a computer for playing around on.

had some problems

  • Summary: When I got this item it was supposedly the last one the seller had at the time. I turned it on and it did not work. I took it to an electronic store where they took the side off and found where from the manufacturer the main cable attachment going to the mother board was broken and the cable was not able to connect.
