Solid workstation

Will T., Newegg
11 November 2013
  • Summary: If you want a solid performing, quiet workstation for a reasonable price, you can't go wrong. Just be prepared to provide your own technical support.
  • Pros: I bought one of these with a Core i7 processor, 16G ram, a handful of hard drives and a GTX model graphics card. I am using it as a combination Linux server/gaming machine/workstation and I have yet to really tax this system. I like nearly everything about it:
  • Cons: ASUS, feel free to respond here.

Issues with SSD mounting

Ivor I., Newegg
3 May 2013
  • Pros: Good package of quality parts.
  • Cons: I have yet to find a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter that works with the hotplug HDD tray. A bit of a issue if you want to use SSD, or the SSD cache feature as advertised. Contacted tech support which has no knowledge of this problem.
