Summary: This stock computer is great but be careful if you want to upgrade. I installed an 800W power supply and a better graphics card in the system. The motherboard seems unable to handle 16 gigs of ram and the graphics card at the same time. (Says I only have 8 gigs of ram.
Summary: A solid computer, and one of the few options available that still came with Windows 7. I will say that I was not thrilled with the very limited warranty -- only 2 weeks or so? -- and the fact that apparently if you open the case at all it breaks the warranty. Exactly how are you supposed to diagnose a hardware problem or even clean the computer without opening the case?
Summary: Unfortunately, we do not lke Windows 8, but this is not the fault of the computer! This computer is very fast and up to now it is working well and have had no problems with it. Can recommend this product.
Summary: As opposed to their amazing laptops. Performance is component-based and Asus prob. make and installs the best. I always customize PC before purchase or upgrade afterwards. I can't comment on customer support because I never need them. If you are not an expert, avoid HP at any cost.
DJM "It is what it is. It ain't what it ain't..., Amazon
26 April 2013
Summary: However, this thing doesn't have wifi built-in for some goodness-only-knows reason. Don't fear, though. You can purchase a $20 USB WIFI piece so you don't have to crack the case and void your warranty. I purchased mine in person very recently, but so far I am not disappointed... ...with the overall product... except... ...it comes with Windows 8 installed. And no one is overjoyed with Windows 8. But it is only software and I can fix that!
Summary: The great things were that the computer runs very well. Shipping was very quick. The one con I could possibly say is that when I went over the qualities of the tower before I purchased it I was a bit mislead that the desktop came with WIFI. It didnt, so I had to purchase additional software and install it. This may not sound to bad. . .
A very fast machine, with a couple of (minor) weak points

Summary: I bought this machine to replace a very old, very solid machine which I had built to spec by Micron (which, alas, is no longer an option). That machine served me well for 10-15 years until it was brought down by an onslaught of network attacks. In brief, a friend got hacked, my info was in her contact list, and I got attacked (note I was running 2 firewalls: hard & soft,) Kaspersky and windows defender. They were determined!
Best bang for the buck in price range, product description wrong

Summary: First of all, Amazon is the only place that lists the processor as an i5-2500. All other sites list it as an i5-3450 (3.1 GHz). I contacted Jeffrey at ASUS, who researched and confirmed that model CM6870-US-2AA has only ever shipped with the i5-3450. I confirmed this on the packaging, in the BIOS, and in Windows system info after receiving my unit.
Very good overall performance, but with high-end graphics limitations
12 October 2012
Summary: The first CM6870-US-2AA I received wouldn't boot properly & went into an endless loop, so after several frustrating hours with Asus tech support, I had to take it back. Once I got the replacement, however, the 2nd one worked like a charm. I initially bought this to replace a very nice Dell that I lost due to a house fire. The Asus seemed to offer the biggest bang for the buck that I could find (and afford), so I went for it.
