Summary: There is no Windows 8 disc to go with the PC, because I may need to reinstall the Window. 1. The Window 8 has many problems: I have no touch screen, so the home page of the Window 8 is not very helpful. 2. Many functions are hidden, so I have to spend a lot of time to hunt for what I want. 3. The sleep mode is not responsive, I can not wake it up, therefore, I have to force it to shut down and power it up again. 4.
Summary: I bought this computer from Best Buy and approximately a week after the year warranty it basically died. I called ASUS and after a long wait on the phone they could not help. Their tech support is a worthless, unknowledgeable, untrained and lack any computer experience to answer the simplest of questions.

So, I replaced the power supply with a 600 watt high end unit, since the original was only 350 watts and considered under powered for running additional external devices.
Summary: This computer locks up for no reason. It happens a couple times a month. I've researched online and discovered that this is not an uncommon problem with Asus desktops and the Asus company has never found a solution. I'll never buy another Asus PC.
Summary: I was a bit leery when I purchased this computer because I have never purchased a 'refurbished' computer before. But I have to say this computer is very impressive. The OS came pre-installed (which was handy) so all I had to do was plug in my monitor, mouse, and keyboard and I was off and running. The only drawback to that, which others have mentioned here, is that you do not have an OEM install disc should you ever need to re-install the OS.
Summary: GPU fan blew out in less than five months. No gaming, just word processing and photo editing. ASUS wanted me to ship the computer from California to Indiana at my cost just to replace the fan, which would have meant no work computer for two weeks. They denied my request to simply swap video cards. Ridiculous. Worst customer service ever. Stay away.
