Summary: We bought this computer about a year ago, and just recently the motherboard failed. Our local computer repair told us that asus does not make replacement motherboards available for this computer and when we called asus, they told us we were just over a year and so the warranty wasn't valid.
Summary: When I bought this computer, it was the best and fastest that I could afford. And it hasn't disappointed me yet. I usually have three things running at once and it handles them with no problems.
Summary: We've thoroughly enjoyed this computer thus far. It was better after some tweaking of Windows 8 and uninstalling a couple of the Asus-included programs that we found more of a nuisance than a use, but the computer itself and its specs have been great for what we spent on it.
Pros: Great specs for the price. I got it on sale for 449.99 with a $50 rebate that took it to 399.99 so I jumped on the deal. Just using it for normal home use. Internet banking, email, and browsing internet. Does everything I need it to do.
Summary: I use it for normal day to day tasks and for playing games and it handles both beautifully. I can use the highest graphics settings on games like StarCraft II Heart of the Swarm, Guild wars 2 and XCOM Enemy Unknown with no issues at all.
Pros: Fast quiet, does everything I want and then some
Summary: This computer is a workhorse. It's got just enough video horsepower for people who want to edit photos or videos, without all the overkill that high end PCs often throw in to make it appeal to gamers.
Cons: Used for computer for 1 week before the hard drive failed. Sent back to Asus for repair which was a HUGE mistake. they failed to fix the computer, and sent it back after 2 weeks. Asus refused my request to substitute this model for another that might be more stable. Im just praying that this time...
