Summary: Overall I am happy with this device - using it as a Media Center PC with Windows 7 and Silicondust's HD Homerun Prime as an external network tuner. Works well with Windows. The computer unit came with all the drivers on CD. In Linux I did have to do some extra manual file editing to get HDMI sound to work in Mythbuntu (MythTV on Ubuntu). Eventually, due to DRM-coded contents I went with a Windows media center option.
Summary: Although pricey, this HTPC provides the best out of the box experience. Every thing just works including the remote. I have not tried the bitstream audio so can't provide any comments on that. The built in WiFi adapter is top class and provides very good connection speeds. This is a must if your media is kept in a NAS and your HTPC is connected to that via a WiFi router. I am using this with Windows 7 Home Premium and XBMC.
Summary: I've got this running Windows 7 as my media centre in my livingroom. It looks great and was less expensive than the custom-build I was planning by a few hundred dollars. It meets my criteria of looking great, being almost silent and pumping out the HD content stutter-free. My only complaint is that the drivers provided by ASRock are at least 4 generations old, and the newer ones available direct from NVIDIA will not install on this OEM hardware.
Summary: Configuration: Linux Ubuntu x86_64 11.10 32" Sony TV owned for 1 month Was first looking for a Apple Mini but finding price too high. This one has a good price and got a bluray drive :), I don't regret my choice, it is working like a charm, is more powerful than Mac Mini, having a bluray drive and seem to be of great quality :). I'm using it as a media center PC and as a router. It is working well, don't suffer of lag and very silent (more silent than my Desktop PC).
Summary: Just got this about a week ago. I had been using an Acer Aspire Revo AR3610 previously. The Revo was great for most things, but became a bit slow in response time after a bit and had trouble streaming Netflix HD content. There was also some stuttering when streaming shows from CBS through a browser which made those unwatchable for me. After upgrading to this box, I have no problems with any of that.
Summary: Configuration: Pioneer PDP-5080 Harmony 900 Windows 7 Home Premium XBMC 10.0 for Windows (Aeon Nox skin) PS3 Media Board Pro Bluetooth Keyboard Iphone 4 with Hippo Remote App I've had this computer for a month and I am in love with it. I'll apologize upfront because this is a pretty targeted review. My sole reason for wanting the Asrock Vision 3d was to use it as a HTPC to run XBMC on. In this area, it has surpassed my expectations.
Summary: Excellent hardware for HTPC and pretty much everything else except for graphic intensive games. Cyberlink PowerDVD is the weakest spot in the whole package. It is unstable and picture quality is not so good. Their "support" is completely useless.
Best Media Center PC you can build upon. Some Minor tweaks to get full potential.
