Summary: Setting up and starting up was seamless. I am working on my masters degree and I was ready to work within 30 minutes after having all of my files migrated from my laptop. I have been an Apple customer for only two years and I will never go back to a Windows PC...I absolutely love how easy it has been to keep organized and I've only skimmed the surface learning the capabilities of my computers.
Excerpt: This is a nice high quality product. It's pretty expensive comparing to other pc desktops. I think Apple Inc the greedy should drop in a i7 CPU. Considering the company release their flagship smartphones with 16G total storage including iOS 8, barely not much usable space, this is not strange.
Excerpt: This is replacing a 24" Early 2008 iMac that served me well over the years but finally had to be retired when my Lightroom catalog grew too large. Even with the memory maxed out (6gb), even with the boot disk only half full, it was tedious to work with LR and PS open at the same time. Going from 24" to 27" was initially a bit overwhelming but I adapted.
Excerpt: How can you go wrong with a 27-inch screen? Love that I can actually see the photographs and designs I'm working on, and the large screen makes it great for multitasking as well. Good number of USB ports, wish there was a disc drive, but otherwise, very sleek and runs well!
Excerpt: Apple products speak for themselves. They are expensive, but they are quality. And if you are a Windows user, there is a learning curve, though even as someone about to turn 70, the adjustment was pretty easy. I bought the 27" iMac for myself and loved it so much that I sent one to each of my two grown sons. B&H had the best price and their service is top rate. I generally use [*], but for electronics I''m sold on B&H.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast, Great Display, Great Extras, Great Software
Excerpt: What can you say. It's a 27" imac that's been around for a while. It does the job. I bought one for myself a year ago and bought one for my wife just now. I don't think much has changed on the hardware front since I bought mine. Shipped with older version of Mavericks even though Yosemite is out. Had to upgrade to latest version of Mavericks to be able to migrate from old mac which was running latest version. However, in order to upgrade, I had to create a user.
