Summary: I did not receive a monitor with the computer as was shown in the advertisement I saw. I contacted the seller and was told they did not furnish that ad; it was placed by amazon Such a display as I relied on to place my order is false advertisement.
Summary: The condition of the computer was great but it was not a current model so i have to buy two system updates. I guess the price is right for an Mac computer though. FYI it did not come keyboard, mouse or screen.
Summary: This was the first of two I bought from the same vendor. This displayed reluctance to start from the first, and now, August 3rd, it would not start at all. When it worked it was superb, it has turned me from a thirty year PC person, into from mow on Mac person, which is why I bought the second.
Summary: I bought it as a backup to my current system. Although the computer works well, its case was in much worse shape than I thought from all descriptions. I would probably buy it again but at a lower bid.
Summary: I decided to buy this product because I needed to upgrade from the g4 powermac that I had, and so I did. The only problem I have is that the computer does not have an airport. This problem is preventing me from going online to register my software and equipment.I really want to give fives across the board but I cannot because I now have a 5 hundred dollar computer that I cannot use because of the airport being removed.
Summary: lld about the G5: quieter than the g4 which is great in the studio, and from experience much faster on processing. I had to do some parts replacement, so modifying the system for better performance was necessary. Since you cannot speak on the sale in this panel I'll leave that to your imagination. one thing i will say before closing... apple needs to make obtaining the video card for these machines... more easily available.
Summary: Let me say first that I love Macintosh. I do not always appreciate the antics of the marketing department at Apple Computer. As a content creator, I frequently need PCI slots for the specialized cards that allow high quality audio and video i/o, so I am looking only at Power Macintosh computers (not iBook, Powerbook, iMac, eMac, etc.). I find myself greedy for speed and lacking in cash.
Summary: It's not as fast as a P4, but it's a good system, and it's pretty cute. My main complaint is the weak graphics. I mean for 3 grand you think they could do better than a 64MB video card? You can hardly find a game that can run on that little video ram. It would also be nice if Apple could come up with a faster CPU. Frankly I buy them for the looks.
