  • Excerpt: I am professional freelance photographer and have decided to upgrade to the Mac Pro. It is by far the fastest machine I have ever owned and runs all my software flawlessly. I run the Adobe Creative Cloud 2015 Suite, and use Nikon D800's for my product and portrait work and use raw while shooting.

  • Excerpt: I design FPGA systems. I'm running simulation and synthesis on this system. Using 2 27" 2560x1440 displays. I run the simulation on OSX and the synthesis under Linux in a virutal machine under Vmware Fusion. Everyting just works.

  • Excerpt: I love this BEAST! It has replaced my Mac mini, Hyper-V 2012, and ESXi 5.5. Yes, the Hyper-V and ESXi had specific functions, but I used them predominantly for their virtualization and not their nuances. Now I run all my VM's locally on the Mac Pro.

awesome machine

  • Conclusion: I upgraded from a pretty fast G5, so I wasn't expecting too much of a difference, but really impressed with the speed and performance of this machine! I am a professional photographer and work with large image files. I can open a 300 megabyte 24x36" TIFF Photoshop file in a second.

Solid piece of equipment

Alan, MacMall
24 January 2011
  • Conclusion: Wow, the build quality is truly impressive. Stepped up from an iMac that always felt like an interim computer; had way too many external drives hanging off of it. This is quiet and powerful and with the ability to easily upgrade it's components, I'll have it for a very long time.

MacPro

RH, MacMall
30 November 2010
  • Conclusion: This was a replacement for an older Mac Pro. Consider it an excellent product and does all I need to do. I consider myself an advance amateur photographer and this computer fits in with all I want to do. It is fast, relatively quite and very efficient.
