Beats the use of the smaller and considerably less powerful streaming units

Summary: You do not need any of the options for streaming on your TV if you have this item. It has fast WiFi built in and can access the internet on your TV. Add a small bluetooth keyboard and a Microsoft mouse 5000 and you are all set to enjoy any streaming you choose. The codecs for Quicktime are available anywhere...and you also can use VLC or XBMC for your TV. If you want real performance, add SSD drives and use RAID formatting. A word to the wise though..
Summary: I own 5 Mac minis, two of these 2012 models -- a base model used as an entertainment centers and an i7 model I just bought that will replace a 2009 mini server. All of these have been reliable except for failing hard drives, one in an entertainment center and both drives in my old server, but it runs 24/7 and would be expected after 4+ years.
Pros: Last Mac mini models with Firewire, dual drive capability, and i7 processors
Cons: For me, nothing not to like, except possibly the price.
Summary: Most affordable way to get a Mac, but by no means a big compromise. With an i5 processor and expandable RAM, it's a powerful machine with a small (and quiet) foot print. Took about 5 minutes to setup.
Summary: I purchased this Mac Mini in Apple's Refurbished area on their site, for four nineteen with a 1 year warranty (as new). This deal is made even sweeter due to the fact that this Late 2012 model can be upgraded to 16 GB of ram (see YouTube for lots of how-to videos on it) for about one hundred and fifty bucks or less with this memory: Crucial 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR3/DDR3L 1600 MHz (PC3-12800) CL11 SODIMM 204-Pin 1.35V/1.5V Memory for Mac CT2C8G3S160BM , and you can get OS X...
Summary: Incredible value for the money. Was using a Mac Pro but way too big. Switched to Mini and have not been disappointed yet. Sure it lags some with movies but not that much. This is the best Mac that have used.
So many smooth running functions. A widescreen for entertainment + work rig

Summary: I couldn't be happier with the performance of this little Mac Mini desktop. Its a great performer. I put 8GBs ram(unnecessary, - I know) and I have loaded all my audio CD's onto my iTunes, and I even watch movies. I have a 60" plasma in my office/den, and the 2nd hdmi connector has a 25'cord from my desk to the plasma. I have all my photos online and edit with Aperture, a personal favorite. I can skip through pics or music with the remote if I'm in my chair. Its great.
Summary: Great little space saving computer, Hard Drive did fail a little over a month out of warranty - have replaced with SSD and all is well. First Apple product in 20 years of purchasing Apple stuff I've ever had an issue with. Besides that, super quiet(is basically a laptop motherboard without a screen), low power consumption and more than powerful enough for office use.
Not happy with the way the buyer describe the product he was selling.

Summary: There isn't that much to say about this item... other than it didn't come with the HD cable connection. The buyer didn't state that in his description. So I had to purchase my own. I haven't tried to see if it will function, but I have tried to see if it will turn on (which it does). So until then I will have to wait and see if it even works when I attach the monitor to it.
The Mac Mini is the next level of desktop computing.

Summary: The Mac Mini is a small compact device that packs a nice punch. By me using this device I no longer have to plug my laptop to my Samsung screen TV. Although it does not come with, a wireless mouse, keyboard, and track pad. It is something that you need to invest in, with out them, you would have to plug in to the back of it, and be pretty close to the monitor, if you have a big screen TV, it will seem a bit odd.
