Excerpt: Was looking to upgrade from my 13" Macbook Pro. 27" iMacs look good, but the screen is too big to fit on my desk. I started looking at 21.5" iMacs and decided on this one. I made a great choice. Apple screens are always awesome and this is no exception. I'm also pleased with the Iris Pro graphics. I do video editing and it's important to have a computer that can process fast. I read different pros and cons on the 21.5" iMacs with Iris Pro vs dedicated graphics card.
Excerpt: Speedy iMac. Fusion drive makes a huge difference. I opted for the smaller screen to fit a smaller desk. Can always purchase another monitor to extend desktop if neccesary. Only downside is that RAM is not upgradeable - so choose wisely. Great bang for your buck on this machine!
Excerpt: Bought this to replace an older Win 7 All in One machine. Compared unit with many Win 8 All in Ones. Although price was 30-50% higher for this, I figured if I had to learn a new operating system, I may as well move to Apple. So far I am quite pleased. I ordered additional RAM and the unit is fast. I love the fast boot and the responsiveness. I love that it is quiet with no fan cycling. Has a few quirks.
Summary: We are very happy with the purchase of the iMac. It came in the promised time frame and in good condition. The only concern we have is the need to have the fan control software on the computer. Our concern is why is the fan running so hard in the first place? Shouldn't it be checked to see why the fan is running? Other than that we are very happy with our purchase.
