A huge waste of money as I cannot use the computer due to a lock out!

Summary: Don't ever buy a used Mac without knowing if the computer is tied to a preexisting i cloud account. This is a nightmare! I bought the mac and it was great while it lasted. Then I updated the software to Mavericks. It was then that I became locked out of my Mac. The seller refuses to assist me locate the previous owner. So I am stuck with a big expensive paper weight. This is known as an EFI password and there is very little help from anyone including Apple.
Summary: Beware before buying!!! I bought this product 6 months ago. It was packaged well and looked great but after hooking it up it completely crashed. I was pleased how they brought it back and fixed it. We had to wait a few weeks to use it but once we had it back it worked great for the last few months. A week ago it broke again and after talking to the seller (who helped me troubleshoot it) realized it would almost be as much to fix it as it was to buy it!
Nice basic, compact iMac; great for a student, light busiiness work.

Summary: The 17" iMac performed unsatisfactorily; it would not operate for more than 10 or 20 minutes without "freezing"/"hanging up"; I performed all the actions/tests the seller requested; to no avail. It had 4 gigabytes of RAM installed; after checking with Apple, it was clear the computer was designed for 3 gig, maximum (there can be memory "overlap" with 4 gig). I removed the 3rd party RAM, installed 2 gig, initialized the hard drive, installed a new OS.
Hate this product and will never buy another one!!!!

Summary: I purchased the Apple iMac desk top to replace my HP that was in need of a new hard drive. The price for each was about the same.A friend told me I couldn't go wrong with an "Apple." I actually like nothing about this computer. The fan noise is so loud that it gives me a headache, it is very slow, and I can not play on games like Farmville on Facebook.....because it has no flash drive.
Do not buy iMacs! There is a known monitor defect!

Summary: After having had a great experience with my Apple Macbook Pro, I purchased my iMac in 2011. Everything went well until early 2012 when the hard drive failed and had to be replaced. In September 2012, a thin red vertical line appeared in the display. I researched this issue in the Apple Support Forums and found out that is issue is fairly common with iMacs. Unfortunately my one year warranty expired before this video problem appeared.
