  • Excerpt: Phrases like ‘low cost’ and ‘home theater’ are usually mutually exclusive in the Venn diagram of personal electronics. So, we were initially suspicious of Acer’s bargain priced home theater PC, the Aspire X3200.
  • Pros: Adequately priced for a tanking economy. Potent combination of compact size and capability. Comes with an internal slot available for GPU upgrades. Runs relatively quiet during gaming and Blu-ray playback. You can’t go wrong with a shiny black chassis in the living room.
  • Cons: Awkwardly placed power and eject buttons. Included speakers look, feel, and sound terrible. Dreadful performance as a gaming rig. Operating lights look like a 747 landing at night.
