Summary: I purchased two ACER VX275 computers and have had major problems with the windows software that was installed. When I tried to reinstall windows no luck. It would not boot. I had to buy a new software package. I also went to a Computer repair shop to get going. I emailed ACER help for service on the problems and got nowhere. I like the PC but they need to do a better job on their setup. I have spent about 10 hours on the two machines to get started.
Summary: I bought this Acer Desktop Computer for my mother. She'd previously had an HP that was about 9 years old and the motherboard was deceased. It was time for something new as opposed to pumping money into fixing the old desktop. I own an Acer laptop and my brother in law owns an Acer desktop. Why break the family purchasing formula? My mother LOVES this computer.
Summary: I have had this unit for less than 8 months and loved it from the first. It was easy to set up with all the stuff from my old computer. But, lately things are happening that cause me to believe it's ready to crash. Even though I have the settings to never shut down, the computer has shut itself down (when not in use) for the past three nights. I can't hear the fan anymore which used to make a noise. It goes to sleep too fast and takes too long to boot up.
Summary: I bought a couple of these to replace aging work computers. They fit our basic database, word processing, email, Internet, and local area networking needs quite well. The low price was a big plus too. We have not had any problems in the first month of use.
Summary: I bought this desktop box for my senior-aged parents to replace a failed HP computer. I'm pleasantly surprised by it's small size. It came with a mouse and keyboard, which is nice because I didn't expect that. It's pretty fast to boot-up, and runs quiet and cool. My only issue is that it booted up in Windows 7 64-bit version, but I wsih it had given me the option of running in 32-bit mode so I could run all their older software. It was what they're accustomed to using.
Summary: This is a great simple PC. It is targeted to the business market so comes with a minimum of bloatware on it. 32bit and 64bit Windows 7 professional images (64bit was default). Image is really old though, took a couple hours and 10+ cycles through Windows update to bring the machine up to spec. The weakest component is probably the integrated video, but this is not advertised as a gaming machine. Configured two of these for my wife's classroom - I bought them to donate.
