Summary: The main reason I purchased this PC was to hook it up to my tv and run it as a media player. As others have stated, the bloatware that comes on the machine is a bit crazy, but after uninstalling everything and starting with a clean system it runs great. It is only about half the size of my blu-ray player, which has now been replaced by this. The good: Silence. Fanless pc that you can actually leave on in your entertainment system.
Summary: i like this PC because for me, it plays all my media files including my HD movies with no issues at all. If you are looking for a HTPC just for media files , this is your product. For gaming in todays world, this PC will not be for you.
Summary: I bought this to use with a USB InfiniTV (Ceton) tuner and it worked beautifully. I've got 4 tuners (can record 4 shows at once) and I'm running off my local comcast. The PC does this sort of job well and I'm surprised that more aren't going this route.
Great media appliance, do not use as a computer or you will be disappointed!

Summary: If you're not good with computers or want something that just works "out of the box", I do not recommend this product. However, with some initial time investment, this device easily becomes the best value media center PC out there. My setup: 50" 1080p TV & 5.1 surround Acer Revo-rl100 (this product) SiliconDust HDHomeRun Dual TV tuner connected to a dual-band Wireless-N router (300Mbps max) Windows Media Center (comes with Windows 7 Home Premium) NAS drive with all media...
Summary: I was looking for a small quite machine to use as a MythTV combined frontend/backend. This has just enough CPU power and an Nvidia chipset that supports VDPAU. It is quiet and fits nicely in my entertainment center. The combined keyboard/mouse remote works OK, but it seems to have limited range. MythTV support is nearly perfect. The only real issue I have had with it, is BD playback. I have it setup to dual boot so that I can play BD from Windows.
A purpose built machine that serves its purpose well

Summary: The Acer Revo RL100-UR20P is great for playing blu-rays and web browsing. It is not nearly as proficient at running computation heavy games like modern first person shooters or converting large numbers of media files into different formats. I wanted a pc to hook up to my receiver via hdmi that would allow me to watch blu-rays and consume media from the web on my tv. I was using a mid-range Samsung blu-ray player and my Lenovo Think Pad at the time.
