Summary: I bought this computer several months ago when my 1 year old Dell broke and Staples took 3 months to fix it under warranty (I had to report them to the Better Business Bureau and call Staples headquarters at least 30 times). Anyway I was planning to use the Acer as a 2nd computer. To my surprise the Acer turned out to be the better computer. It's smaller and more compact but packs quite a bit of power. It's smoother and faster than my old Dell.
Summary: When it works, it is great. However, a warning about Customer Service and Warranty. My computer is 4 months old. Went to boot it up last week, it would not boot up. Everything I tried, it would not. Called Acer Customer Service and went through everything I had tried. They told me that my operating system was corrupt and had to be redone. They strongly suggested it was a virus or malware. I questioned that it probably is something else but they were pretty insistent.
Summary: With so many good reviews on Amazon, I purchased this computer. It is quiet, stays cool, and seems to run programs well. Unfortunately, it constantly drops the drivers for the DVD drive. Reloading the drivers makes the drive work for one use and one use only. After one use, the computer will drop the drivers and not recognize the DVD drive. Reload the drivers, get one use, the drivers drop, repeat ad nauseam.
Summary: I've wanted an Apple for a long time but haven't wanted to spend the money... I'm still there, and honestly this is the best desktop for the price that I have ever had. I've owned for for almost six months now and have never had a problem with it, and in fact I still find myself pleasantly satisfied with how compact it is, and how well the hardware performs... in fact again, I just purchased an Acer netbook as well because I have so much newfound faith in their product.
Random reboots Warranty turns out to be a sales pitch
Unhappy Acer buyer, Amazon

Summary: This is a small footprint computer with a nice amount of ram. It is quiet and fast. I was pleased with the computer for a few initial hours of use. Until it began to reboot. I thought maybe I was having updating windows 7 issues but even after I set updates to manual the computer would just occasionally reboot out of the blue. I finally called Acer "support" a month into my ownership.
Summary: I have had to send in my computer TWICE to be fixed and it STILL does not work! No one in customer service speaks English. They aren't even based in the U.S.! The computer was brand new, NOT refurbished. The CD/DVD drive completely disappeared after a few weeks and the computer kept restarting by itself and the error was "blue screen.
Summary: ... the only thing I would change is the exterior case color - wish it was available in either silvertone, pale gray or white, This is one awesome little tower. It's my 4th Acer tower (not a laptop person) and I am quite impressed, since it is the inside of this baby that matters. Quick, quiet and plenty of storage... and it has quite a sleek, handsome design. It was delivered on time, as promised, was easily set up and I was immediately won over.
