Excerpt: I bought an Acer aspire T690 about two years ago. Warranty was up in one year. Memory slot failed already only can read one card slowed computer down to snail pace. Acer Support is only willing to talk to you if you pay 60.00 up front.
Summary: I had a problem setting up the computer out of the box - bad system image in the hard drive. Customer service at Acer was a disaster. I returned the product to Overstock (for an exchange) - your customer service and promptness to address the issue was excellent (6 stars). The new unit also had a problem with hard drive partitioning.
Summary: I sent back the first Acer because the sound card only worked from the front imputs. The replacement Computer sound card worked from the front and the rear for about 1 week then both went out.
Summary: This was my first purchase from overstock and it couldnt have gone any better. item arrived earlier than expected and right out of the box performed flawlessly. a month later everything is still running perfectly. i will definatley purchase other products like this from overstock in the future..
Summary: Actually the computer is great it is getting all the hardware and software to work. As I added drivers for printer and broadband the problems began. The two main issues : DVD/ RW conflict with Vista. Once you start adding peripherls the DVD/CD is not responsve. Also could not get on line with lan connection., had to install a PCI card. Have a return authorization to send back to Acer since it is still under warranty.
