Summary: Good product but limited capabilities! It works great as a Media PC, but not very good definition (at least in a 54' LED TV) if writing or regular web surfing. Great to download a movie/TV show and watch it. Comes with Win8 and refuses to install Win7. I don't like Win8, i think might be great for touch screens but for regular PC falls short (as usual for a windows copycat). OVERALL GOOD PRODUCT, but I installed it in the living room so my daughter can use netflix etc!
Summary: This is the 2nd one that I received the 1st one did not work and I informed Amazon and They Promptly sent me another and this one works Great The acer RL70 is a good media Computer how wever acer should ship these with 4 GB of Ram instead of 2 GB with what they have put inside of this with the AMD Radeon it needs 4 GB to work properly so I will order another Ram chip and that should speed things up windows 8 is sluggish because of the lack of Ram other than that you need...
Summary: My unit has run flawlessly for a couple of months. Running XBMC over Windows 7. Runs silent. Wireless keyboard and mouse work well from across the room (about 12 feet away). I rarely use the remote. The only reason I don't give it five stars is there is no way to back up the installed OS as it is configured. The little utility Acer provides for creating backup media expects to find an optical drive.
Summary: Yep, the only reason I give this four stars is because I'm a hardcore Linux user, and could care less about the terrible Win7 experience, which I did use for awhile before having time to install my own Linux. Win7 sucks bigtime, especially when you don't use the mouse. My point is, I'm setting up the HTPC thing typical of this type of machine.
Summary: I bought this device to replace a Logitech Revue, which I was disappointed with due to its poor streaming ability. I did like its keyboard, which featured a trackpad, but the device itself was sluggish and referred from delayed upgrades to its OS. So far, I am very pleased with the Acer Revo. It is tiny and fits on top of my BluRay player very neatly. I can't image who would ever use the weird stand it comes with; I guess the designer thought it looked cool.
Summary: If I had to describe this PC in one word, I'd say: `SECONDARY'! Being a huge fan of HP and Apple, the first thing I've noticed is the processor speed (streaming videos (HD? - "fuhgeddaboudit!"as New-York'ers would say), opening apps and programs, including response time, etc. - quite sluggish!). Yup! Good, NOT great though! Again, rather acceptable for your "secondary" computer at home or as a "starter PC" for teens! And that's my only criticism about Acer Revo70!
Summary: The computer is compact and has the extra nice features of including wireless mouse and keyboard. two things I'm a little disappointed in. 1, the processor speed is on the slow side. they should've used a better processor. 2. there's a remote that appears to be useful as sort of tv remote on the desktop, except there's NO instruction about its usage whatsoever. Acer's website is also lacking on specific usage manual for this remote.
