Pros: i dony know a lot about dehumidifiers. In fact, this is my first one. My only real reason for posting this review is that when i was looking for a cheap/ affordable unit there were some pretry sketchy ratings for this brand and model. I even purchased a SquareTrade warranty because of them. That ...
Cons: have to empty daily if not using the drain hose. Other thqn that it has been perfect
Pros: My windows got a lot of condensation before AND after i remodeled so my contractor said i should get a dehumidifier. Read amazn reviews & bought this one, looked better than the other dehumidifiers i saw, & its not too heavy. its EXTREMELY quiet even on the highest setting, i really cant hear it ...
Cons: I keep my heater above 65 degrees now (I used to be too frugal), and this dehumidifier is unnecessary. The heater keeps the air dry enough and prevents mold.
Pros: I finally found a 'QUIET' dehumidifier after 30 + yrs. It pulls out moisture as well or better than larger units I've owned. This is the 2nd summer and still working great. Even if it quits on me now, i'll buy another.
Cons: Not really a con, but it does have to stay on 'continuous' to keep it pulling out humidity.
Summary: This is absolutely the best unit if you want something quiet that pulls tons of water out of the air. Two units dehumidified our house where a whole-house dehumidifier costing thousands of dollars could not. I have honestly not seen anything like it on the market and we have tried a bunch of them.
Pros: Quiet, works well until it fails
Cons: Regular overflows, fails after a few months, Soleus does not pay shipping even if the unit is still under warranty.
Summary: My last dehumidifier (a Fedders) lasted about three and a half years. Does anybody make a dehumidifier that will last a decade or two? My refrigerators and air conditioners seem to.
Pros: It's quiet (it got a bit noisier with age), and allegedly very energy efficient.
Cons: This lasted 20 months, and I'm finding it difficult to find a repair shop near me that will take dehumidifiers. For me, that comes to more than $10 a month. That seems a bit steep for a dehumidifier.
Summary: I bought 2 units because they were supposed to work well and quiet. Neither unit lasted long. Product can not be fixed. Manufacturer wants you to pay $100 shipping to return item. Total ripoff.
Cons: Only lasts 3-4 months. Warranty not honored by manufacturer.
