Summary: Frigidaire unit failed in first 60days and I can get Frigidaire to ship me a replacement. They don't have any unit to replace it with. That leaves me with a unit that does not work. Frigidaire told me they don't know when they will be in to replace my unit. Do not buy anything that need to be serviced through amazon they only offer a 30day replacement unit. I will not longer ge shopping through Amazon do to there poor service also.
Summary: I set this up for a basement in a vacation home with a rock wall. It can run automatically with humidity control. I pipe the water out the back in continuous flow to a sump pump tank. Quite nice to have this and rather pleased with how well it kept the basement dry in what could otherwise have been damp conditions.
Summary: I did a lot of research on dehumidifiers and read a lot of reviews before settling on this one. Before I received it I had already anticipated that it was going to be noisy and that it wasn't going to last more than a few years, but I felt like this one was still my best option. When the package arrived, I was a little surprised at how large it was (unit is 2 ft tall). But I plugged it in and was instantly happy with it.
Summary: I needed a dehumidifier for my basement and thought this would be a good option so I ordered it. Here is what I found: 1. Nice design. 2. Good handles to move it with. 3. Worked for 2 days without issues. Here is what I did not like: 1. After working for two days, the unit started having a puddle of water under it. Yes, I had drained the holding tank. Yes, there was some water in it, but most of the water was on the floor.
Summary: I have a stone foundation in my house. I love stone foundations but you need to be wary of moisture and where there is moisture you could have mold. So I got this humidifier. Plugged it in and turned it on. I put it on the constant run. I had to empty the bucket daily for a few days though it has a hose drain function but I have no drain in my basement so I just use the bucket. After about a week this unit had dried out my basement nicely.
Short-lived, poorly made, defective, and expensive

Summary: It worked fine continuously draining to the outside for about 3 months between July and September,2013. When after a pause of some 2 1/2 months I turned it on again in December 2013, after 2 days it both leaked a sizeable puddle on the floor and also quit working. Was this unit my bad luck with a lemon or the result of faulty engineering? Either way it was a very expensive experience for some $250.
Summary: CR top-rated dehumidifier reduced large damp basement from 80+% to 50% in 2 weeks, and further to 30-40% range since. Very effective, quiet. Well-designed - can stand against a wall without reducing airflow. Unit's humidistat doesn't agree with my standalone meter.
Summary: Using in our finished basement and air quality improved overnight. Very strong fan and is very quiet compared to my prior unit. Seems to be working better then I thought it would....probably because my prior unit was not all that good.
Pros: Air Quality Improved Soon, Effective, Energy Efficient, Quiet
