Larry, Amazon

  • Summary: I purchased this product almost one year to the day. It has stopped working and has been over heating. I followed up on and found a recall on some of the their products that have been over heating and causing house fires. I called the Frigidaire customer service number and a local repair number, referred to by Frigidaire, to only get an endless loop of tape recordings. I'm still not able to determine problem with my unit and what to do with it. Customer service stinks.

Good dehumidifier - questions answered

Nathan Buchanan, Amazon
8 September 2014
  • Summary: This thing works really well, and has fixed a mold issue I was having in my basement. Really happy that I purchased it. The air feels dryer and it is easier to breath. I have two issues. 1. The tank has a lip for your fingers that you use to slide it out. That lip was held on with two tiny screws. The third time I removed a full tank of water, that lip ripped right off. I looked and there were two other screw holes that were not being used.

Seems to be a good product.

Dave Olson, Amazon
6 September 2014
  • Summary: I was a bit concerned that this product wouldn't be enough to dehumidify my basement. It is a partial with a crawl space. I have an older dehumidifier running alongside of the frigidaire as a backup/helping hand and it rarely has to help. The frigidaire has been keeping my basement at 50% without it being on constantly or set to full. Much quieter than the older one I have. Seems to be a good product.

Gets the job done

egreen, Amazon
6 September 2014
  • Summary: I purchased a 50-pint Frigidaire dehumidifier for my basement over a year ago. Before buying this 30-pint for an upstairs area, I looked at both good and not-so-good reviews, even though I was happy with the 50-pint. The negative reviews gave me pause, but I went ahead and ordered the 30-pint, based on personal experience. For me, both have been absolute workhorses.

Louder than I like but doing the job so far.

PW, Amazon
24 August 2014
  • Summary: Prompt delivery. As described. No damage. I needed a very small footprint, hose drain, and as quiet as I could find. Size and drain are perfect. It seems loud to me--air flow noise only. The unit uses a high volume squirrel cage fan to ensure robust air flow over the condensing coils. There is absolutely no noise from the cooling compressor. I wouldn't buy anything rated louder if you have this in a living space like I do. I can't image the racket from anything louder...

This sturdy dehumidifier keeps the mold and mildew out of my ...

Margaret L., Amazon
20 August 2014
  • Summary: This sturdy dehumidifier keeps the mold and mildew out of my small storage room (40 sq. feet) with little ventilation, and its ability to be drained to the outside enables it to do the job without my attention. I had drilled a small hole in the wall and inserted a clear vinyl hose that I was able to secure to the larger standard-sized hose that fits the dehumidifier's drain.

Gravity Drain

Obroccolibear, Amazon
17 August 2014
  • Summary: This is a really good dehumidifier with an auto-drain function. The only issue is that the hose for the auto-drain is kind of odd. It works on gravity so the dehumidifier has to be higher than the drain and hose. I was able to put this on a small shelf and it now drains well. I had an issue where it wasn't draining and this was because it wasn't working with gravity. Just be warned that there is no pump so have a space available to set it higher up.

Glen Ridge, Amazon

  • Summary: Worked for 5 weeks before it stopped working. "No big deal" I thought, "its under warranty" - 4 months later and still trying to get it replaced. Several phone calls, emails back and forth and still nothing.

good to go

James Wasielewski, Amazon
18 July 2014
  • Summary: I've had the dehumidifier for a couple of months and it's performed satisfactorily. I thought the30 pint refered to the size of the water resivour. After it arrived I found out it referred to the amont of moisture it would remove in 24 hours. It's working out adequately but I probably should have gotten a larger one.
