Summary: I give them 1 star due to the difficulty and lack of customer service. Dehumidifier ran great for about 1 1/2 yrs. Supposed to have 5 year warranty on the closed refrigerant system. Easy to give long warranties if you make it as difficult as possible for your customers to use the warranties.
Summary: I would give this 5 stars except that the plastic stinks. Not that it is not sturdy, it actually smells. I have noticed this with most plastic items that are made in China. Whatever formulation of plastic they use has a rather pungent odor that is not particularly pleasant.
Summary: I bought this unit because I have an older propane furnace in my basement and wanted to try to keep it from rusting out during the summer while it wasn't being used. I live in Maine so it doesn't get real hot for very long but when it does the humidity is killer.
Summary: This was the second of these I bought. The first didn't work right out of the box. Super fast and easy to return and get another one within a week or so. The second one worked amazingly well until the return period was up. Now I have a piece of sh!t I have to pay haul to garbage.
Many Frigidaire Dehumidifiers units do not continuously drain as advertised

Summary: Frigidaire Dehumidifiers - Consumer Reports reported in 2012 that Frigidaire would send kits free of charge to fix a design flaw with their units because the units do not continuously drain as advertised even though many consumers were being told they had to pay $10.
Summary: I LOVE this thing! Before this came into my life, I was waking up every night with horrible asthma attacks. I just couldn't breathe. My room felt stuffy, wet, and miIdewy. live in a very humid climate and my walls are made of block. Condensation builds up in my closet and bathroom.
Worked less than a year (maybe 2 months for all I know)

Summary: I have owned this unit less than 1 year. When I first got the unit I used the bucket for a few days until I bought a hose. I had it hooked up to a hose draining into my crock for the rest of the time. I believe I have seen water coming from the hose last year when it ran.
Summary: For the first 8 months this unit worked beautifully for my studio apartment which is very damp. However about a month ago it started making a very loud noise and I became concerned that the compressor (or whatever) was starting to go.
Summary: I purchased this unit in mid November of 2013 and has worked great until about 2 months ago. Now the fan runs, but the compressor does not come on and it collects very little water. Rather disappointed that it did not work any longer than a year and a half (or less).
