Summary: I was looking for a dehumidifier after noticing dampness in some rooms. I was thinking of getting a small one for each bedroom, but after looking around and comparing multiple dehumidifiers, I decided to go with the Frigidaire FAD301NWD 30 pint model. It seemed to have great reviews, better reviews than smaller models, and the price was around what I was willing to pay.
Summary: Less than three weeks of usage and it quit working. Worked fine until now. All it does now is move air without dehumidifying it. The water bucket is totally dry. Went through the trouble-shooting steps to no avail. Now I have to go through the process of getting it repaired.
Summary: Very nice unit. I have it plumbed into a permanent drain with a clear plastic tube so I know it is working well. If the fan discharged out of the side rather than the top it would be even better. A little loud but it is working well.
Summary: After I received my notice from Soleus that my old dehumidifier was being recalled (Soleus Air 25 Pint Dehumidifier), I decided to make another purchase. After searching through the various models available I found this dehumidifier by Frigidaire. My usage was for a small bathroom because I have no fan to get rid of the humidity created from the use of the shower. The 30 pint model was sufficient for my usage. I have been using the unit for 2 months and it works great.
Simple, effective, and the fan doesn't run continuously

Summary: We bought this to replace our two recalled Soleus units. We only bought one to be sure we liked it. I'm very happy with it after 2 months, and have bought a second one. There is virtually no motor noise. There are no fan level controls, and I would call it medium high. It's a little loud but it doesn't wake me up in the bathroom 15' from my head when it cycles in the night, and I'm a light sleeper. I like the manual vs. digital control, as I think it will last longer.
Summary: Seems to work fine, but the fan makes much more noise than the Soleus model that I had to abandon due to fire danger recall. It is in our walk-out basement sewing room and office and we find that we must turn it off when we are working in the space. With the Soleus unit, we were able to leave it on.
