Summary: My washing machine malfunctioned and was filling with hot water all night long and I didn't know until I found there was no hot water in the morning. The laundry room is upstairs so you can imagine the mess, luckily it's over the garage. I ordered this dehumidifier after using a carpet cleaner and a shop vac to clean up all the water.
Summary: This one really does the job. I use it for my bedroom, master bath, and walk-in closet which totals about 325 square foot. I was really suprised at how much water it accumulated the first few days! It does heat the room up a few degrees, but the room does not feel any warmer due to the decrease in humidity. On the low sitting is is really not all that loud. Not sure of the durability, only time will tell.
Summary: Bought one of these from lowes about 3 years ago. I use the drain hose feature. It's in my basement. My only problem is that I used the absolutely useless guide from energy star to choose what size unit to put in my basement. Should have bought a bigger one. Basement is about 800 square feet and pretty damp. This unit is not big enough for that. Going to by an additional 50 pint dehumidifier.
Summary: I like everything about this dehumidifier. This unit is used for my basement. It is quiet and is an "Energy Star" unit. I researched many different dehumidifiers and this seemed like it was the best. I have had it for over a month and am very pleased with it. It removes the moisture very well and the damp musty smell in the basement is gone.
Summary: Two years ago my Haier dehumidifier was broken after 4 years service. I bought this one. It only worked for two years (two summers). Right now it only blows air no water come out. I don't know where to buy a long last dehumidifier.
