Actifry 1.2kg capacity

Garage Chick, Argos
22 January 2014
  • Excerpt: This is great for chips although you do have to dry them thoroughly. They take 45 mins so don't be in a rush. NOT good for southern fried chicken that has a batter on - this gets powdered so you end up with bare portions (live and learn). Cleaning is easy.

Good product for chip lovers

  • Excerpt: We've owned our actifry for around 8 months now, when we bought it I think it was around £140, I've seen it for sale for around £120 recently. The actifry's biggest selling point is because it only uses 1 spoon of oil to cook with.

Disappointing

Disappointed22, Tesco
12 July 2013
  • Summary: I bought this on an offer and would not recommend paying full price. It's big and heavy so not easy to store. It cooks chips and wedges ok. They are a bit on the dry side and don't stay crispy very long. If you cook sausages they tend to get a bit squashed. Haven't tried curries or stir fries yet.

curious about it

Brenda, Argos

  • Excerpt: tried chips as my first use. found they were ok but I found the cooking process time consuming. Also how do I cook two parts of a meal at one go. Sausage and chips could end up taking an hour. OK if you only want one specific food while you cook the rest in conventional oven

Great with reservations

DP, Argos
7 November 2012
  • Excerpt: It looks great, and the ideas behind it are great. But I was not prepared for the 35-45 minutes that the instructions state that it takes to cook chips. I took it back for an immediate refund.

Dissapointing

  • Excerpt: Is this was called a fryer; I was expecting crispy food. The result was more dried than fried! The positives were that the result is low fat & healthy. Im sure it does other stuff well... But as a chip frier - be warned not to ecpect too much.

  • Summary: Is een groot teleurstelling dit toestel. Had er veel van verwacht, maar heeft spijtig genoeg mijn verwachtingen niet kunnen inlossen! De frieten worden week en als je ze een kleurtje wilt geven worden de uiteinden zwart.
