No temperature Control or basket

Wesley Capar, Amazon
29 December 2013
  • Summary: This product is nota equipped with a specific temperature control which I was not aware of when buying. Without one it makes it very difficult to follow recipe's exactly. Also the lack of a fry basket was another negative. I returned the product.

Great Fryer But You Need To Know How To Prepare Chicken If You Want The Best Fried Chicken Ever And I'll Tell You How.

Michel Gleich, Amazon
9 November 2013
  • Summary: The secret to good fried chicken is a real crisp skin. This is a great little fryer, but with chicken you need an extra yet worthwhile step to have the best fried chicken you ever smacked your lips around. This fryer does that but not if the bone-in chicken is raw, the temp of this fryer is too high for raw, bone-in chicken and what happens is undercooked chicken, even legs. But there is a way to get around that and it makes the chicken much better anyway.

we grew up with one like it (fry daddy)

Lafayette Kajun, Amazon
31 October 2013
  • Summary: My wife fries things every now and then, and the small pots of grease usually stay on the stove and leave the smell for days. (also ruins pots). This will be so nice to have plenty of oil to fry small or large batches of food and store away neatly. ALSO GETS HOT QUICK. It also regulates its own temperature which is nice.

Dangerous

LKatherine, shop your way
5 October 2013
  • Summary: I only used this item once before I was ready to return it. The fryer was dangerous. The oil started boiling out of control. I've used a similar deep fryer for years and never had this problem. You can't adjust the temperature. I had to unplug it completely and, eventually, it cooled down. The oil popped all over me when I added the food. I'm going to find one with a basket and lid. It was nice to be able to cook different food at once but it wasn't worth the risk.

Just the perfect size fryer!

Leasa G. "Leasa G.", Amazon
28 August 2013
  • Summary: I bought this fryer to replace our old FryDaddy. I was looking for something a little bigger because our other one was the regular size. This one is terrific! Not only can you cook two different things at the same time, when you remove the divider, it becomes a very large deep fryer. I found myself having to cook multiple batches of French fries in our old FryDaddy and it took forever! The DualDaddy is large enough to cook an entire bag of frozen fries at once.
