Not worth the money!

Summary: Very disappointed with this product, with my old fryer when you lift the handle up the basket comes up with it and likewise when you were lowering food into the fryer you could do this with the lid closed, but this model does not do that so really this is no different from the old fashioned pan and basket job, you are putting food in and out manually, for the money this fryer cost I would not recommend it and wish I had spent more time looking around.

Summary: Was very disappointed to discover that you can't have the basket out of the oil when heating it without the lid being open. Similarly when cooking is done the food can't be lifted out to stop the cooking process and left in the drier with the lid closed. Many other makes allow this.
DeLonghi F26237 Deep Fryer with Total Clean System
7 October 2014
Summary: The De'Longhi F26237 Deep Fryer with Total Clean System has a 1kg food capacity, an adjustable temperature control for different foods and a cool touch body. With a 2.3 litre oil capacity, there is a steam and odour filter on the lid which is effective at ensuring the house does not smell of fried food after cooking.
Summary: Well, the fryer basically does what it sets out to do. It's a good basic fryer that gets the oil to the set temperature and lets you lower chips or whatever into the oil. Oil temperature is reasonably accurate, but the temperature control dial is very coarsely calibrated, and only goes down to 150C, which isn't low enough for low-temperature (130C) frying (for 2-stage chips, for instance) although it's possible to get the oil to the temperature with a bit of guesswork.
Summary: I bought this to replace a Kenwood fryer no longer made. There are pros and cons:- Pros :- 1.nice looking, 2.easy to wash in dishwasher or by hand, 3.after trial and error cooked lovely chips Cons :- 1.light and flimsy, (not up to quality of Kenwood) 2.Cannot hook up basket and close lid - so if I wish to part fry at one temperature and then raise to a higher temperature to finish I have to leave the lid up and put up with smell of hot oil.
Summary: I did a fair bit of researching and settled on this one. I thought a rotating one would be no good for a runny batter that needs speedy contact with hot oil. I like the timer. I like the easy controls. I like that it comes apart for easy cleaning. I like the fact it does not smell. Only negative is the catch on the lid, which I think someone else mentioned. Opening by pressing the button does mean the lid opens very quickly - it pings open.
Summary: This is a brilliant deep fryer, it works great but the BIGGEST selling point is that you can put it all, (except the element) into your dishwasher. What a bonus, no mre standing there with grease halfway up your arm and all over your "T" shirt. really well thought out. Its worth the extra cash to be able to clean it in the dishwasher, take my word for it.
