Summary: This roto fryer does not do what is expected of it. I have used it several times and each time it had burned the food. Have also tried turning the heat down and using less time but the same happens. Would not recommend it.
Summary: Very poor. When you try to tip out chips from basket, then pin that locates from the handle into the grove of the basket does not locate properly and the basket then twists, the chips go on the floor and the hot basket actually come into contact with your hand. Bearing in mind its just come out of boiling fat, this is not good.I spoke to tefal who sent me a new handle but it still does the same, they sent me a new basket after that, it still does the same, they sent me a...
Summary: De'Longhi F28311 Roto Fry Deep Fryer with Easy Clean System Extremely disappointing. After just 2 or 3 uses the first product stopped heating the oil up to a sufficient temp to cook with and now 10 months later the replacement has done the same thing. This is despite maintaining it carefully as per the instructions.
Summary: there is something definitely wrong with the basket design for it collapses when it is lifted out of the pan. this is the third roto frier i have had and none of the others have this problem. when i spoke to kenwood / delonghi they informed me i was shaking the basket too much in my view if the chips are not not given a gently shake they stick together and cook unevenly in future you can count me out, i wont be buying another delonghi roto frier
Summary: This fryer is a bad design. It is very fiddly to use the basket, the lid is of very poor quality, the hinge clip jumps out, which could be dangerous. The cable storage is pathetic, the plug does not fit in easily and then you may not be able to get it out.!
Summary: Well at first it was great, however after a few uses I noticed hot oil had dripped down into the hinge recess, there being nothing to contain it. I was surprised to say the least that after the 6/7th use, after the cooking time had elapsed, on pressing the lid button it flew open..and the lid continued going landing upside down on the work surface. How dangerous was that? I thought..must be a one off..nope, it repeated it's strange performance last evening.
Summary: At first when we got this we were mildly disappointed at the quality of chips coming out was not as good as our previous fryer and the mechanism for raising/lowering the basket seemed a bit flaky. However, after about 3 months, the explosive spring on the lid became more and more of a liability. This eventually reached a point where pushing the button to open the lid would cause it to physical jump right off!
Summary: The lid does not seem to work properly once the appliance has reached the operating temperature. It cannot be opened by simply pressing the button. You have to insert your fingernail to lift it and this is probably rather risky. Furthermore, with some varieties of potato (perhaps those containing a higher amount of moisture), the oil bubbles right up (even when only filled to the recommended level) and pours out of whatever space it can find between the lid and the body...
Summary: I bought this a few weeks ago having read all the good reviews on here. I've now tried it out about 4 times and am really disappointed. Despite changing the type of oil I use and the type of potato, the chips are always overcooked on the outside and yet still soggy. I am used to chips which are fluffy inside and golden brown and crisp on the outside. I haven't been able to get this result once. I also agree with comments about the lid spring.
