Summary: The unit cooks a large amount as advertised and recovers the cooking temperature very fast (Less soggy results than other products). I had a problem with mine, but product support was clear and helpful. They solved my problem very fast.
Summary: This product works great. Best French fries ever. Setting the digital thermometer to 350 degrees protects the olive oil from burning and we get to use it over and over again. Yes we fry with extra virgin olive oil due to health reasons.
Summary: This fryer has a large volume capacity, fried 5lbs of wings in two 2.5lb portions. Wings came out fantastic in about 12 mins. Then used to make fries and taquitos shortly after. The only complaint I have is that it the oil temperature digital interface is sort of clunky, not easy to figure out but after a few uses I got it down. Overall, great product and I would buy again in a heartbeat, especially with Amazon prime!
Summary: Good small capacity fryer that is fairly easy to use. Has a drain spigot on the front where you can drain off old oil. You may find that you still have to clean the basin of the fryer by hand after draining off the oil through the spigot, due to some residue that is inevitably left from the flour used for battering your food. I think the timer system could have been set up better.
Excerpt: I purchased this fryer and had it for just over one year. Used it apron. 8 times. Very hard to make the electrical connection as the magnetic catch to hold the cord is very weak. As well something went wrong with the electronics and it only shows the temp on the digital readout, but does not actually turn on. Today I finally got tired of this piece of junk and threw it in the garbage.
Summary: I’ve only used this fryer a few times so far but I do have some initial observations. It is a sturdy, attractive (if somewhat large) unit and fries as well as or better than most I have tried. I bought this unit to replace a GE unit that has never performed as desired so many of the comparisons will be to it. 1. Most notably, the fryer is big (more deep than long or wide) and the heating unit has a much smaller surface area than other units I’ve used or researched.
Summary: We don't actually eat much in the way of fried food, but when you want something fried, you want it done properly. Oven fries and baked chicken fingers just aren't the same. So, after much research, we bought this deep fryer for the 5 or 6 times a year we want actual fried food. It was a great choice. It makes wonderful fries. We made tempura the other night and other than cleaning the basket, it was awesome. Chicken fingers turned out well.
