Summary: I already owned an older Uniden 5.8 GHz phone, but with a recent switch to AT&T's U-Verse Voice service, I was ready for something that offered a voicemail indicator, as well as better range than 5.8 GHz technology can provide, while not sacrificing sound quality. This phone delivered on those requirements. It makes sense that the industry switched to a lower frequency band (1.9 GHz) since lower frequencies travel better through obstacles.
Summary: So far the wireless phones are working well. We had a small problem, but calling their tech support, the problem was fixed. The problem was we didn't know how to "register" each wireless phone. We have had these phones for about two months and everything is working okay. In fact, I ordered another single wireless phone in case something happened to any of the other two wireless phones, so now we have three wireless phones.
Summary: This is an absolutely great phone. It is well built, fits comfortably in your hand, the clarity is unbelievable and the features are easy to access. The added intercom feature makes it perfect. I've ordered many things from Amazon and never had a problem. Thank you.
Summary: Bought this Vtech phone as manufacturer has good ratings at Consumer Reports. I was looking for something very basic with 2 handsets. This filled the bill at the right price and it has the capability of expanding unit handsets. I did not want a message recorder as I use a phone service. I like the black and silver color and sleek lines...takes up little space.
