Summary: This is a reasonably priced cordless phone and answering machine. I like that I can turn off the ringer if I don't want to receive calls at 5:00 am. Being in Hawaii, some people don't think about the time difference. I can also turn it off if I want to take a nap or go to bed early. It has a lot of choices--high ring, low ring, or off. The answering system will beep if you have a message, but you can turn off the beep if you want to. It's really good.
Summary: This is my second Uniden phone. My first one is still functional but a bit old after almost 10 years of use!!! So, I've decided to get a new one, instead. This new Uniden phone is almost identical to my first one in terms of features, except the new one is 5.8GHz. This is also smaller and lighter (both the handset and the base) than my first one. The sound quality is exceptionally clear without any interference.
Summary: The only critism I have is that they shrunk the instructions sheets to the point I had to use a magnifying glass to read the notes on the illustrations. Would a couple of extra sheets of paper really ad any cost to this item? Even if a buck more the larger legible print would be worth it.
Summary: For the price this phone is perfect. It is very simple to use even for those not tech-savvy, and has the answering machine built right in. I am not a fan of voicemail so I chose this for its features. I love the screen and the small base, it can fit anywhere. Microwaves and vacuums do interfere, but same as with my last one so no big deal. Good buy!
Summary: I bought this phone because of its price and frequency. I have a lot of wireless electronics in a 460 square foot apartment. My other phone sometimes dropped calls and I was thinking that was because of the interference from so many wireless devices. Most wireless devices operate at 2.4 ghz. I decided to get a phone that operates at 5.8 ghz to see if that would clear up the issue of dropped calls. It did. This phone solved my problem without my going broke.
Summary: I've had this phone for over a year with no basic problems. The sound quality isn't like a "real phone"... but I'm giving away my age here. I have had a few cordless phones with worse sound quality. I would like to use the speaker phone setting so I could still work and move about while talking with my longer winded friends.
