Summary: Light, aesthetically pleasing, easy to use/intuitive, good value for the money, lots of features, good sound quality, good range. You need to make sure you connect a DSL filter to the base unit first, if you have DSL. Sound quality is just fine, volume for ringer is just fine. Really have no complaints, last phone was a uniden 2.4ghz that last 6 years and counting (battery wasn't able to hold charge very well, which is what spurred this purchase).
Summary: I bought this product on the advice of the manufacturer, who said it would solve my current problems. It didn't. I had an earlier version Uniden Power MAX 5.8, and liked all the features. Sound quality was not as expected on the newer model. Also has no speaker phone in base. Other features missing as well, compared to 5.8. Looks pretty and sleek, but many of the new features are just gimicky, such as color coding callers.
Summary: I've had the phone for a month now. 1 major problem and 1 minor annoyance. The minor one I can live with - the mute button is right under 0. Just takes some getting used to not hitting it when dialing a number with a 0 in it. The major problem is the handsets will very frequently suddenly go silent and the handset will say "out of range". This unfortunatley also drops the call and happens even if standing next to the base. This affects all handsets.
Pros: Durable, Good Sound Quality, Lots Of Storage
Summary: Was very disappointed in the system. Sound quality was not near as good as I had on the previous system. When playing the answering machine, had to crank the volume all the way up and still could only faintly hear the message.
Summary: This phone looks great but it drops calls constantly. YOu will be in the middle of a conversation and is will say "connection lost". I will happen on 80% of the calls and sometimes more than once. If you look at other reviews this is the same complaint and Uniden has not advice on what to do. My advice, save your money and don't buy.
