Summary: It's a horrible phone!!! I got it a month ago, and I put it to charge and I still can't use it because it won't charge properly. I called customer service, they said it's the batery that's bad, but I have to see if they send me one. So, I never used the phone and it's just sitting here. It sucks, because the phone is very beautiful. P.S.
Summary: I bought this refurbished phone, because I just needed a little cheap phone for a landline. I received it and have tried without success to charge it and no way will it hold a charge. I need to send it back to Overstock.com but I do not have access to a printer, so I cannot print out a label to send it back so the shipping will be paid for. I have given 1 star on audio etc. because I never got it charged to see if the other functions worked well or not.
Summary: I recieved this phone, and it has only one of the two batteries needed. Might as well have none. The handset does not charge. The other battery compartment is for the answering machine backup. Couldn't tell you how that works because I can't get the phone to work. I called overstock and they sent me another phone. It also does not work. This phone is a piece of junk. Do not waste your money.
Summary: I kept this phone one week and returned it to Amazon and bought a Panasonic BB GT1540B. This Uniden does not have a mult-color lcd handset screen, you only have a choice of 3 monocolors. The wall mount is awkward with the phone sticking out from the wall. The phone directory holds a lot of numbers but is difficult to use - when you flip through your list it has a tendency to slip and you dial the wrong number.
Summary: Well I was surprised to see that my favorite phone was still being offered for sale after all these years. That's rare for an electronic device. I was a little dismayed by the many negative one-star reviews and so I decided to express my opinion on this fine device that I've had for three years or so. I won't repeat all the other review info, but I will try to clarify the important points that I have experience with.
Summary: We have had our system with 8 phones and chargers located throughout the house and garages four years now. Only problem we have had is lately we have had to replace batteries in some of the phones. After four years, not a bad deal. We are very happy with ours.
Summary: I paid around $100 to purchase one of this and battery went bad in 7/8 months and called uniden and they say batteries have three months warranty and i have to buy new one's out of my pocket. It's a shame that a product for such price has such a poor quality battery. I've seen lot of cheap product costs below $30 lasts more than 2 years. So why should someone pay such price and pay again for batteries so soon. I would say its a bad product. Not worth the money you pay.
Summary: Phone works fine but one major flaw appears to be: There is a limit of 10 handsets that can be registered. Lets say you registered 10 hand sets and you lost couple of them.. you wont be able to reset the base unit to factory setting. The user manual does not show or talk about this limitation. I now have only 4 handsets at home, but over the past year registered over 10 handsets.
Summary: I bought five uniden headsets and, less than a year later, three consistently fail (i.e., disconnect, immediately run out of power though they've been charged for hours). I'm really disappointed with these phones and won't buy uniden again.
