Summary: This phone does not come with an instruction book. You have to order one on-line and print it out on your printer, which is a nuisance, especially since it is 76 pages long, much of which is very wordy, redundant and of no use to most people, and it isn't as easy as it should be to find specific information on how to program and use the phone properly.
Summary: Got this for my 80+ visually impaired Mom. She wanted a corded phone next to the bed (in case of power outages) and needs a cordless that she can keep near her chair in the living room where there is no phone jack. Her old cordless battery kept running out because she had no charger near the chair. She loves this phone.
Summary: I love this phone. Bought it for my elder parents. However it has some shortcomings that all but overshadow the good: * Very poor range. One room over -- less than 20 feet -- and it is static city. Double that distance and you are out of range completely. * Clock goes out after every power outage (despite the advertised feature of "keeps phone working even during power outage"). * Call 911 button too big and easy to hit by mistake.
Summary: The product came quickly. It was easy hook-up and had a lot of extra features. The only thing that may be wrong with it is that the buttons on the cordless phone weren't quite large enough for my uncle. He is legally blind and had a corded phone with HUGH buttons. Maybe this is as big as a cordless phone buttons go. I don't know I didn't want to pay three hundred dollars!! I needed the cordless with the corded so I didn't have to move the jack.
Summary: I wanted a corded phone to ensure access in case of a power outage, I wanted an answering machine so that I could get rid of the overpriced Voicemail package from the phone company, I wanted buttons I could see without my reading glasses AND I wanted a cordless phone. This product filled the bill. EVERYTHING in one package! The base also has a speakerphone for handsfree conversations.
Summary: I helped my nearly 90-year old mom choose a phone to replace a similar one that had stopped working, and which had been discontinued. We checked all the alternatives, and found this to be the best. It arrived on time, and she managed to set it up without too much additional help. It works fine and she's very pleased to have both the cordless phone and corded base.
Summary: Phone does everything it should- talking CID, Speaker phone, answering machine etc. Both the corded and cordless sets have good increase in hearing volumes and ringers. Draw back on cordless handset is the backlight on the cid window is not bright like the corded set window and is hard to see unless room is brightly lit. Otherwise it is agreat phone.
