Summary: Sound quality is often poor. There seems to be a delay. The buttons are annoying, you need to press firmly with a finger nail. Its a bit like typing on a 1980s pc. Did I say the sound quality is often poor? I prefer not to use it and would find a pc headset/handset better.
Summary: It is difficult to give a rating for this phone. It works perfectly, does everything I want BUT this is my third 3088 and, at a year old, it has gone the same way as the other two ie it has stopped producing a ring tone when receiving a call. All three phones still work but unless I happen to see the screen light up I have no idea that I am receiving an incoming call.
Summary: I'm a bit disappointed with this updated DUALphone, much preferring the older type. I find the dial buttons are very small and it's easy to press the wrong one if your fingers aren't very thin. I'm also not impressed with having to choose on the screen whether I'm going to make a call from a landline or Skype - the older type had two distinct buttons to press and no questions necessary, much quicker.
Summary: I have been using the phone for about a year - everything was fine. After the phone was disconnected from the internet for about a week it stopped working - can't connect to skype - hangs in "signing in" mode forever. Tried to find a solution on internet - looks like it's not very common problem, but it happens and there is no known cure.
Summary: Connected the phone as instructed in the user manual but found that the phone and the BT Hub would not communicate with each other via the Infranet connection. Checked the Infranet connection using same Infranet Cable from a Loptop and connected to the same socket on the BT Hub and had no trouble communicating on the Internet. The Goods Return service from Amazon was so good that the cost of the item was refunded to my account within 7 days.
Summary: I use this phone because it gets excellent reception on Skype but I have to replace one every single year. If I didn't have three phones and thus have to replace all three if I changed my system, I would replace them with another system. Pity that over the years the reliability has not improved.
Summary: I've had this phone for several weeks, and it's a little disappointing. It has some good sides - you can update your skype contacts on your PC and they are automatically updated to the handsets, and the phones do, fundamentally work. However they're not loud enough, they're not intuitive, some of the menus and the options are indecipherable, the contacts are ordered oddly, not just by alphabetical order but skype contacts first, landline second.
Summary: I've had this phone for about eight months now and I bought it to go for one of Skype's `all-in' monthly call plans. Pros * Able to use Skype without a PC; * The handset takes standard AAA rechargables, so if the supplied batteries fail, you can easily replace them (check instructions first); * Intuitive set-up in a few minutes; * Decent talk time/standby time with the batteries supplied.
