Summary: I looked around for a while for a standalone cordless phone which would connect to Skype without the need for a computer, believing it would be the answer to all my home phone voip dreams. It's about a year now since I bought it, and it just sits there, unplugged and unused. The idea is great. Somebody Skypes you and you can pick up on your computer or this phone. You can call or skype from the handset. It just doesn't work well though.
Summary: Having purchased this Skype phone from LiGo I wrote a product review and a supplier review. I did not give them the best review and received the following email from Ligo! 17/01/2013 "We would really like the opportunity to transfer your overall shopping experience and, as gesture of goodwill, we would be happy to issue a refund of £5 and extend the warranty by an additional year, if you are happy to remove your feedback and participate in providing us constructive...
Summary: I have had an RTX 3088 Dualphone and additional handset for 3 years. The master phone works well although it has a "soft ring" and can't be heard around the house. Thinking this problem would be solved by purchasing an additional handset, was when my problems started. RTX has replaced 3 additional handsets and all have failed with various different faults from not ringing, speaker phone stopping working and most recently a phone which keeps switching itself off.
Summary: My RTX Dualphone 3088 has ceased to function. No sound can be heard when a call is picked up and calls out can not be heard. It appears Skype have been aware of the problem since March but there are no easy ways to get a straight answer, indeed any answer from them. They are in effect uncontactable. The still take account money if I try to test it though.
Summary: I have around me more than six people having the RTX DUALPHONE 3088. That is a very convenient phone that does not require PC connection. You can add and manage your skype contact list in a very convenient way along with getting all the advantages of this product. However, at purchase some keys in the touchpad where not much sensitive and they end up dead.
Summary: RTX DUALphone 3088 for Skype (No PC Required) I used skype a lot and the main reason I've bought one is because Skype certified it! What a "con" If you guys are using network on this phone that is even worse it can mess up your entire net-work regardless whether you have your skype settings the same. The company will give you zero support just as arrogant as skype.
Summary: I have had this phone for months and have tried to get it to stay connected to the internet and it won't - it connects and then drops off - so cannot be used for calls at all. I have tried to find fixes for the problem but there are none out there that would. I am going to have to give the phone to someone who can get it to work! Very disappointed.
Summary: Like one of the previous reviewers I was excited with the prospect of this technology. However in the first week I decided to upgrade the firmware as per instruction manual. Upon completion the display went blank and stayed that way. RTX Dualphone support was less than satisfactory, sent me the std. email. Turn it on/off then when the screen reads..... Did they bother to read the fault? (display was blank)??? Follow up emails to them have been less than satisfactory.
