Summary: I looked around for a while for a standalone cordless phone which would connect to Skype without the need for a computer, believing it would be the answer to all my home phone voip dreams. It's about a year now since I bought it, and it just sits there, unplugged and unused. The idea is great. Somebody Skypes you and you can pick up on your computer or this phone. You can call or skype from the handset. It just doesn't work well though.
Summary: Having purchased this Skype phone from LiGo I wrote a product review and a supplier review. I did not give them the best review and received the following email from Ligo! 17/01/2013 "We would really like the opportunity to transfer your overall shopping experience and, as gesture of goodwill, we would be happy to issue a refund of £5 and extend the warranty by an additional year, if you are happy to remove your feedback and participate in providing us constructive...
Summary: I have had an RTX 3088 Dualphone and additional handset for 3 years. The master phone works well although it has a "soft ring" and can't be heard around the house. Thinking this problem would be solved by purchasing an additional handset, was when my problems started. RTX has replaced 3 additional handsets and all have failed with various different faults from not ringing, speaker phone stopping working and most recently a phone which keeps switching itself off.
Summary: I have around me more than six people having the RTX DUALPHONE 3088. That is a very convenient phone that does not require PC connection. You can add and manage your skype contact list in a very convenient way along with getting all the advantages of this product. However, at purchase some keys in the touchpad where not much sensitive and they end up dead.
Summary: Like one of the previous reviewers I was excited with the prospect of this technology. However in the first week I decided to upgrade the firmware as per instruction manual. Upon completion the display went blank and stayed that way. RTX Dualphone support was less than satisfactory, sent me the std. email. Turn it on/off then when the screen reads..... Did they bother to read the fault? (display was blank)??? Follow up emails to them have been less than satisfactory.
Frustrating device, promising but no support if it goes wrong.

Summary: I bought one handset with a base unit and another handset, and for a year or so they worked perfectly. Then recently one of the handsets was rebooted. Now its impossible to have two sets connected to the base station. I have spent two hours, in different combinations trying to get both handsets registered with the base station. I can get either handset registered, using either charger base, but not both at once!
Summary: Like others, I bought this phone based on the good reviews, but because I lived abroad, wasn't able to return it when it went wrong soon after purchase. I cannot figure out what the problem is but as soon as you take it off the handset to make a call, it drops out, so presumably the handset doesn't charge properly. I've moved back to the UK and am giving it a second chance but that hasn't helped - it's sitting on my desk making an annoying double beep noise.
Summary: I ordered, and returned, this product very recently. I was rather excited when it arrived as it looks lovely and has good specs. However the handset and base station would not sync at all at all. After searching on google for a fix I discovered that RTX closed down their own support forums and the only place to get any decent help was the Skype users forums. These devices are notorious for being faulty or braking after a firmware update.
Summary: I have owned one of these phones (and two handsets) over several years. Initially the firmware (software in the phone that runs the hardware and the screen) was of very variable quality. This eventually settled down to being satisfactory. The hardware (the electronic bits of the phone that you can touch) have continue to eventually fail or perform poorly. After a while the ability of the first handset to ring failed, so I had to buy a new handset.
