Summary: I am a huge fan of this system - as an expat i travel the world (business and family) and as such i'd need to change numbers quite often. but with skype - i just have one; no matter where i go i have my skype account and i can call my folks. better - i just plug in the landline and here we go. happy days:) anywho - back to the product. I already had a triple set of these at home.
Summary: I looked around for a while for a standalone cordless phone which would connect to Skype without the need for a computer, believing it would be the answer to all my home phone voip dreams. It's about a year now since I bought it, and it just sits there, unplugged and unused. The idea is great. Somebody Skypes you and you can pick up on your computer or this phone. You can call or skype from the handset. It just doesn't work well though.
Summary: Sound quality is often poor. There seems to be a delay. The buttons are annoying, you need to press firmly with a finger nail. Its a bit like typing on a 1980s pc. Did I say the sound quality is often poor? I prefer not to use it and would find a pc headset/handset better.
Summary: Having purchased this Skype phone from LiGo I wrote a product review and a supplier review. I did not give them the best review and received the following email from Ligo! 17/01/2013 "We would really like the opportunity to transfer your overall shopping experience and, as gesture of goodwill, we would be happy to issue a refund of £5 and extend the warranty by an additional year, if you are happy to remove your feedback and participate in providing us constructive...
Summary: Before buying this phone in September 2009 , when it was £79.20 I have tried couple of other Skype phones which were crap. Without any problem this phone is in continuous use since three years . Only the rechargeable batteries were changed twice which is understandable. This phone is in my mother's use , and me and my brothers/sisters being in three different continents saved hundreds if not thousands of pounds ,dollars & euros.
Summary: I purchased an RTX dualphone and extension handset 3 years ago. Both the base phone and additional handset worked for a short time before faults started developing. The major faults are not consistent and have included the phone constantly switching itself off unless on the handset, speaker phone not working and telephoning not ringing. The telephone ring is quiet and we need more than one phone downstairs in order to hear it ringing.
Summary: I have used this for one month, only as a Skype phone - landline connection is far away from internet cable and little incentive to invest in a Ethernet over mains unit next to the landline connection. Main use is for business calls from an outbuilding at the back of the garden. The base unit is installed in the house and connected to the router - a connection to Ethernet over mains unit in the outbuilding did not work well - slowed down network speed for some reason.
Summary: I have had an RTX 3088 Dualphone and additional handset for 3 years. The master phone works well although it has a "soft ring" and can't be heard around the house. Thinking this problem would be solved by purchasing an additional handset, was when my problems started. RTX has replaced 3 additional handsets and all have failed with various different faults from not ringing, speaker phone stopping working and most recently a phone which keeps switching itself off.
