Polycom Voicestation 500

Summary: This is a good product. The microphone works good if you are near the device, but I question the 7 foot range. If you really need a 7 foot range, then I recommend you look at their next up products. It takes a lot of effort to get the cable to fit in the cable routing channels undernear the Voicestation base.
Awesome phone, but why does it have to be so loud?

Summary: I want to echo what others say in that this phone is great. When working in my home office, I use the VoiceStation 500 connected to my iPhone for 6-7 hours a day. Great quality both directions, what I hear, and what others say I sound like. I have ONE complaint. It is too loud! I never put the phone any higher than the lowest setting, and would love to turn it down even more.
Summary: I purchased the Polycom Voicestation 500 in the hopes that I would be able to have hands free calling in my home office. Having used the full sized polycom phones ( Polycom SoundStation2 ) I had high hopes that this could be my main phone for conference calls. Alas the sound pickup is simply not that good. Sitting 2 feet away speaking facing the phone I still get comments like "I can't quite hear you".
Summary: The sound quality is great and I use it quite a bit. One other point to mention is that, unlike some other speaker phones, people can hear you on this one even if there's not absolute silence on the other end . . . forget the technical term for that but it's a significant point.
Summary: This Polycom Voicestation 500 is a great product. It sounds great and took all of 30 seconds to set up with my cell phone. It lets me run my small business like a big one, with out the expense. Highly reccomend to anyone who does conference calls with customers while using their cell phone. Customer can hear you like they are in the same room, no clipping or buzzing at all.
perfect for small office - bluetooth skype and mobile phone connection

Summary: Fantastic product for anyone that wants to conference via skype or cell/mobile phone. The bluetooth function works reliably whether connecting to my macbook or iphone. Note this device does not have a auto switching power supply, the 120v version self destruct if you use with 220/240v.
Summary: I purchased this VoiceStation for a home office based on reviews. I had a Blackberry phone (Storm, which I hated) and because i had Verizon was holding out for an iPhone. Well, another 8 months until Verizon Wireless carries it, so I got myself a Droid X to replace the Blackberry Storm. As for the Storm, the VoiceStation worked well. It paired and connected quickly and it was easy to dial from the VoiceStation to place calls.
Summary: We purchased this device with the intent of using it in our company conference room with the company phones. All the company phones are Motorola Droids. Come to find out after the purchase that these devices have a problem pairing with Android phones. As such, it's useless to us. I'm sure it's a great device if you aren't using it with Android phones, but that's a pretty big flaw in my opinion.
